View Full Version : Davis Cup 2021 aka Gerard Pique's pension fund
Far be it from me to be a Negative Nelly, but more watering down of the Davis Cup is on the way.
Davis Cup Finals: 2021 event expanded to 11 days to 'ease burden on players'

also mentioned is the intention to branch the event out to 3 different cities every year.

So you travel to one European city to watch RR and a QF then if your team qualifies travel on to Madrid for the SF and maybe the final as well. Because city hopping in Europe at short notice, for unknown periods of time, is just so affordable. Fans' concerns about money and annual leave days means nothing to the organisers, who continue to spit in our faces. Appalling.
I just liked it the way it used to be before it got changed.

Certainly not the same and the latest changes makes it even less appealing for spectators! Would not travel for this anyway.
Team GB's venue confirmed.

I'm kind of glad it was... No temptation for me to be a DC hypocrite!

The players (and team/partners) can have a skiing holiday whilst they're out there!
Its just over an hour from Innsbruck to Ischgl where there's some great high level ski-ing to be had in November!
