You beat me to it. Just saw someone had commented on Facebook. Easy to watch through the ATP Tour website.

I believe Andy is hoping to take a Wildcard into either Geneva or Lyon next.
Both tourneys have at least a couple of WC spaces free on their entry lists.

Then it's up to the FFT as to whether he's granted a WC into Rollyg.

I've read, Guy Forget has claimed that Andy does deserve a wildcard.

He isn't in Lyon either.
Perhaps decided on a practice week.

Mike Dickson posted this on Twitter

Djokovic finds a way to edge out Tsitsipas in Rome. Meanwhile Andy Murray appears to have abandoned plans to play this week, doubts he’ll attempt the clay now and chance of FO main draw wc must have receded.

It's bound to happen, match play puts different strains on the body.
Fingers crossed it's sorted soon, it was so lovely to see him play the other day!

Andy will not be at Roland Garros, has returned home to practice ready for grass.

(https://twitter.com/tumcarayol)Andy Murray will not be playing at Roland Garros. He was still feeling some discomfort after his matches in Rome so he has returned home to focus on the grass season.

That is a blow. He does seem unable to string up more than a few matches without falling apart.

A bit worrying but probably best to concentrate on the grass, though may be a bit short of match fitness.

Andy was offered a WC into Geneva but declined - per Russell Fuller on Twitter (https://twitter.com/russellcfuller):

Andy Murray’s expected singles return is on hold. He was offered a wildcard for Geneva, but turned it down after he had played doubles in Rome. No reason yet given. He has been feeling some discomfort since playing in Rome, and will not play the French Open. Instead, his focus will be on the grass and preparations for Wimbledon.

It's all been very stop start for Andy recently. It's lovely having had those glimpses of him on court, but it's becoming uncomfortable that they are almost routinely followed by these setbacks. I would love for him to have a decent run, so fingers crossed for the grass. I will always be here waiting for him anyway. Hopefully he had a lovely birthday today with his family.

Saw Sally’s post on Facebook. Can’t say I am surprised.

At the moment I am enjoying the matches he does play, without any expectations.

I was distraught when he retired at the AO, but there was a strong feeling of relief.

If he retires at Wimbledon, I will feel, sad but very, very relieved.

I hope he goes into coaching, and would love to see him on the senior tour.

I think he has done his bit.

I think so too. You would expect to see some consistency to show progress in the right direction.
Can’t imagine what it’s like to play one match and then be injured again after weeks of preparation.
On the other hand why get Mark Petchy on board if that’s the plan?

We are all speculating and obviously a lot of uncertainty but that does not mean to say Wimbledon will be Andy's last hurrah, though it is a possibility. It was not so long ago that Andy was dismissive of retirement calls, though he has had a few sebacks lately which might give pause for thought.

Funnily enough, I wouldn't want to see him on the Seniors tour. Having to be away from his family, playing Johnny Mac and having to put up with his antics in some half empty American arena, or playing pat ball tennis with Mansour and Henri. Not sure about coaching either, he'd miss playing too much, and how would he react if his player starts 'venting his frustrations' towards his coach. How about Davis Cup captain for a couple of years (and play thr doubles) then off into retirement, golf course and Wimbledon committee.

I read Andy was feeling a bit of discomfort. So, if I was him, I wouldn't want to continue to play on clay. Hopefully, the grass court season might help him.

Completely sensible decision imo. What is the point of going to RG to possibly scrape through a round or two in the tour's most gruelling event. Was perplexed when Andy was going to even try to do via qualies. Shows how keen he is to be back competing but madness to jeopardize his chances on his best, most successful surface which is just round the corner. Of course negative speculation will run riot on here, but at the moment there's no reason to believe that this is anything other than a shrewd move by Andy. A tough decision, but one which shows discipline. As an aside, I feel Dan also needs to think carefully about his schedule too (ring Andy!) - yes he's shown great form on the clay but grass is still his best surface. It would be a great shame if he misjudged things and was gassed for the grass season. He's in uncharted territory playing the amount that he has. Wouldn't be sorry if he comes home a bit earlier than planned, gets the kind of rest only his own home and bed can provide and starts on the grass fully energised. Roll on :grass: it's going to be great and boy do we all need the unique fun that it brings.

Andy will play in next week’s Challenger in Rennes, France after accepting a wildcard into the event.

Fantastic to see him back in action so soon. 4th event in a row. He's clearly recovered well from that gruelling match in NY. Happy days.
