View Full Version : Battle of the Brits 2021, 21/22 Dec. Ticket info & Who is going???
I've just received an email from the Ticketmaster website saying I can pre-order tickets for this event for the 21st and 22nd December at the P&J Live Arena in Aberdeen. They only seem to be offering tickets at about £114 each.
I've found the news article for this: http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/tennis/2930170/scottish-tennis-stars-andy-and-jamie-murray-to-play-in-a-battle-of-the-brits-event-at-aberdeen-pj-live/

Anyone interested in going as a group? Sally will you be able to do block booking for AMFF?
The pre-sale is only 3 hours... I would have hoped that we would have heard before now if we were being offered a group booking.
Anyway, I have asked Sally in the Mods box.
P.S. Tickets available at all price levels.

Hi all.
I'm happy, as always, to organise group bookings via the LTA for DC and FED CUP events (including under their revised titles).
However, this Battle of the Brit's is an 'event' as any other (eg. music, theatre) so it's up to those wishing to go to make their own ticket and other arrangements.
:flowers:
It's going to be great for those able to go to have another chance to see the Murray brothers play and I'm sure the chosen venue will be an opportunity for some very partisan support!
I'm somewhat relieved that I won't have to do a seating plan!!!
;)
I, vaguely, remember going to Aberdeen in 2006 to watch the Scotland vs England tennis tournament for the Aberdeen Cup.

Ticketmaster says tickets £35 - £114 each. The £114 is a full price ticket - does anyone know if that means for all sessions or is that just one session?

One session
I went for the £50-odd ones, roughly equivalent to where we might have sat in a group. Couldn't justify the stretch to the Courtside ones.

I love the thought of this, especially the brothers, but if everything is back to normal our kids will have just arrived home for Christmas. The rest might be a bit offended if Craig and I disappeared...........
and I've just looked at the price of flights........
It is per session as I only got offered tickets for the £114 each for the pre-order and the sale.
Too far for me alas. Having had my knee done, I am expecting my hip to be done this year sometime.

Thought I was still in school - turns out I stop on the Tuesday - so now have tix for the 2 Wednesday sessions . Did not see this coming when I got up this morning. So exciting.
I did think about going, but I've decided not to go. Instead, I'm hoping to go to the Laver Cup and maybe Eastbourne.

I would love to go, but the flights are so expensive. I guess that’s because it's Christmas week

I will be there thanks to tinawatt getting the tickets. Have had to book hotel for 3 nights as it takes practically a day to get there. Looking forward to seeing live tennis and forum friends again.
Almost bought tickets for this but then looked at flights ... no direct flights from B’ham any more since Flybe went under. Would have to go via Amsterdam! So decided against it. Did find alternative in the end but with it being just before Christmas, time off work would have been tricky anyway as I was off last year so my turn to work really.
Disappointing as I would have loved to go for the tennis and the opportunity o meet up with friends  Oh well, still keeping everything crossed for Wimbledon

Are you staying out at the airport Mo?
Helen and I have booked our tickets and hotel. No idea yet how we are going to get there.

Sadly I don't have the dosh to go. Tickets, return train (after Senior discount) and 2 nights hotel was totting up to £550!!! Airfare from Bristol would have been £150 more!!! and that's without the petrol costs to Bristol and parking.
Just too much money for a short break although I'd love to visit the granite city someday - maybe not for Christmas though .....

I will be there, also thanks to Tina for booking tickets etc. Only 2 nights needed for me this time as it is so much nearer home so much less travel involved.
I lived in Aberdeen from 1967-1987 but have not been back in a while - much will have changed I am sure.

I am going with my daughter for the second day only as Elaine is working on the first day.
I read this last night: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/59699022
The Daily Mail also says Cameron is positive for Covid - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/tennis/article-10322863/Andy-Murray-says-Emma-Raducanu-deserves-win-Sports-Personality-Year-award.html

Some reports this morning that this event is rescheduled for same dates this year, 21 and 22 December.
Indeed.

I read about it, earlier. I would like to go, but I don't know if I'll be able too as it's far too early for me to consider going.

We managed to get ours refunded through the ticket master site. At very bottom of their page is a contact us section wich eventually leads you to requesting refunds. They had no issue with refunding due to the changed dates. At least now I hopefully have DC to look forward to instead.
