Some magic from Andy as he goes up a break in the 2nd at 3-2, Paire misfiring more often. Now double break at 5-2!

That was a comfortable watch and a good way in for Andy. Great start. So good to see him play and move so well.:clap::clap: And it means so much to him, he is very emotional. Aw. Lump in throat. (Berrettini will be a real test in next round.)

Such a privilege to see Andy on court again. And at Queens on grass in the sunshine! Thank you so much Andy! :)

Absolutely brilliant! The win is a bonus, just wonderful so see Andy competing and playing the sport he loves to his core. I've loved his comments in recent days about being baffled about why people want him to stop doing what he loves and how he's not hurting anyone by playing on - good for you Andy, you do what makes you happy.
Raw emotion in the post match interview, God love him. Another beautiful memory banked by fans - thanks Andy.

Great effort from ANDY. Lovely to see Andy looking so well. Was that Gemma that kept being shown on the stream from Prime?

Had to laugh, Andy's hoping for a days rest before facing top seed Berrettini. I think the weather might oblige.

Yes I saw Angie in an off the shoulder red top. One of the Murraynators was lucky enough to get her photo taken with Andy earlier today

So true Anna. I like this quote from an article in The Guardian (12/06/2021) by Miranda Sawyer (who sat down to interview him).:
Andy: "Dont be sad for me! I like doing this and I'm choosing to do it, no-one's forcing me to play."
Oops! My apologies! I've just noticed that article has already been posted on the newspaper thread. Doh! Look before you leap, Pat! It's a very comforting article all the same.

Also, are these people going to say Paire shouldn't be playing then, surely if he's beaten by Andy!

Anyway this is not the day to give them airtime!

It was amazing just seeing Andy walking onto the court. Andy on grass, Mohammad Layani in the chair...........all is right with the world!

Themass15 and me are going tomorrow and Thursday, but weather for Thursday looks like rain all day, so do wonder if Andy will play again tomorrow due to weather forecast

Andy is not scheduled to play tomorrow, and I believe plans are made to have indoor play if it rains, so I assume we will see him on Thursday regardless of the weather.

Wonderful to have an an Andy match thread again. Made it home in time to see most of the match, just amazing to see Andy back and at Queens. And get the win! Such a lovely, honest interview afterwards, such emotion. Just fantastic.

Fabulous day at the tennis and a privilege to watch Andy and Dan play today. Thankfully both matches were stress free and thoroughly enjoyable to watch. I have to confess that the limited crowd made for a very pleasant experience - very short queues, no having to get up and down to let people pass by, unhindered view …. The chairs not being used are strapped up so not possible for people to move around and sit too close. Even got chance to say a quick hello to Angie on the way out. Can’t wait for Andy’s next match.

It's a belated but big fat FABLAS from here in Wales. What a joy to see him on court again.
