Rather difficult to say what time given that Andy's match start will be following 2 Ladies singles. So, how long is a piece of string???
;)
Seriously though ... play starts at 11am which is 3am UK time, best of 3 sets.
Guesstimate 7am for Andy?

Eurosport has guessed at 7am too.

BBC just reported that Andy has pulled out of the singles (but not the doubles if I understood well). :(

That is so disappointing for him and us. I read that he has a leg injury but will continue with the doubles.
Just up and seen Andy's single match cancelled on FS! Oh dear - what can be wrong? - he seemed so well and happy. Everything crossed for him in the doubles. x
From the Olympics news page
"I am really disappointed at having to withdraw but the medical staff have advised me against playing in both events, so I have made the difficult decision to withdraw from the singles and focus on playing doubles." - Andy Murray

It is not very idealistic to say this, but yesterday's result probably told him that a medal in the doubles was not completely out of the question, and Andy the winner probably thought that he would put all his eggs (and legs) in one basket!

Apart from that - he already has two singles golds but no doubles medals, and would probably not want to let Joe down after their excellent win in the first round.

Poor Andy (and us):sad::sad: But, realistically, the chance of defending his singles title was slim. After yesterday's performance with Joe he must be eyeing the gold in the doubles. It does make sense to give himself the best chance at winning with Joe. It's a minor injury apparently, muscle strain in thigh, so fingers tightly crossed these games are far from over for Andy :peace::peace::peace:

Disappointing and somewhat frustrating but still a sensible decision , looked like Andy had more of a chance of a medal in the doubles and hopefully continues to play well with Joe. Obviously he has had fantastic results at the Olympics anyway.
Disappointing, but very sensible. I didn’t stay up for it, but have been subconsciously stressing all night about it.

Disappointing but he and Joe have such a good chance of getting a medal in the doubles.
Agree with the comments. Disappointing, but glad Andy can continue in the doubles.
Well, I’m rather glad he pulled out of the singles, for a couple of reasons - means he’ll never be beaten in the Olympic singles tennis (!) and it’s much fairer on his doubles partner Joe to stay as fit as possible, giving them a great chance at doubles gold. Especially after beating the No 2 seeds. Go Andy and Joe! We’re with you all the way!

Me too! As far as I'm concerned Andy's first round defeat in Beijing never happened! :)

Good decision for Andy, not so good for Felix, instead of playing defending champion he lost to the Aussie alternative

Let's hope but not get carried away too much yet, the Frenchies wilted, if they can win through a potentially tough semi awaits against Cabal and Farah who I would expect to be much tougher, especially in the conditions out there. Not saying they can't do it but it's also always tough next match after beating big seeds.

Feel they have a good chance but some difficult teams to beat along the way

I agree and although I do not follow doubles results as closely as singles results, whether you win or lose in a MTB, for example, so often comes down to a couple of points that it is not so automatic for the higher ranked team to go through to the next round.

I know this must have been a tough decision for him. Hope he does well in the doubles. Love you Andy!
