Game and first set Hurkacz, that'll be a bit frustrating.

Pity. So close at one point.

Tight but Andy missed opportunity at 5-4, however generally playing at pretty high level and hopefully can stay with Hurkacz.

Shame for Andy but I felt he played much better today. That 26 shot rally did for him in the end but lots of positives to take from that match. After all his opponent is ranked 19!!

Certainly overall Andy competed well but Hurkacz was a just a bit stronger on the key points, if only he had found way in 1st. Still hopefully can take positives and move forward.

Didn't get the win but plenty of positives. Very impressive to be so close to world no 13 given such a dearth of matches - 50 or so in 4 yrs. Hopefully the body holds up and he gets the matchplay he needs. If so, there's a lot of very good tennis left in him.

Clearly disappointing, but encouraging at the same time. If Andy had to lose to anyone, I would have chosen Hubi. Hubi seems like a good soul and plays a nice brand of tennis. So good to see Andy at this level, he made Hubi work for it. Onwards and upwards Andy!

Disappointed because it was so close, the shot that went long in the first set :crying: but overall Andy looked happy and went for shots which hopefully don’t hurt anymore. Hoping he bounces back, feels great pretty quickly and plays again soon!

Isn’t it just great, and emotional, every time he walks onto court!?
