Anyway, as regards the Australian media, they've been taking a pretty realistic view of Andy - when mentioning his difficulty defeating Kushy yesterday, they described it as a sneeze, then joked that Kukushkin sounded like a sneeze anyway. At least they appreciate him - there's no nastiness or sniping that I've heard.

I know the past 2 matches haven't been particularly pretty but i do love it when he can fight (or sometimes scrape) his way through. Think occasionally matches like this are good for him. But straights sets next round please Andy :)

I have not been able to see the matches this week due to work.
Next match Baggy. What do those of you who have seen Andy think about his chances....personally think he is playing well, ok he had the normal wobble to lose the first when serving at 4-5 and he coudnt handle the mullar serve in the second( particularity his second serve where i think he aced andy a couple times) but when it really mattered andy was there with some great tennis and exceptional hustle

For anybody who couldn't hear the interview..

He just about his coaching group. Him saying he will have 3 of them there for the Australian Open & that that must be some sort of record.
Also talked about struggling with Muller's serve, and admitted he hasn't played a lot of Tennis since November so it's taken a bit of time getting back on track, but he's feeling well.

Know it was nerve wracking but a spell binder in the decider, though Muller did become fragile. Think the 2nd could have been as bit easier if he hadn't lost that break early and then he really had to battle. Still Muller was tough for some time and Andy raised his game when it mattered. Muller played well at times today and his serving was a big factor in his partial success.

Andy looked very determined after the first set loss and broke in the first game of the second set, but then he struggled before winning the tiebreak cinvincingly and running away with set 3. It was almost a shame that Muller seemd to go off completely in the third set as there had been some good rallies before that.
