Cameron Norrie has drawn Lorenzo Sonego ITA WR24 (CH23 last month) in R1, who beat him 6'2, 7'5 in R3 at Monte Carlo in 2019
[8] Dan Evans will play Kwon Soon-woo KOR WR82 (CH69 in- 2020) in R1, who has just upset 2nd seed Bublik to make the final in Nur-Sultan - 11 time zones away!

In R2 the winner of Evans v Kwon will play the winner of Norrie v Sonego
Fingers crossed for both Brits to come through so we have one of them in R3/QF.

Christian Garin has withdrawn, Sonego takes his place as 9th Seed.
Cam Norrie now plays Koepfer in R1.
Koepfer leads their H2H 2-1 with wins in Waco in 2016 and Acapulco QFs this year but Cam won in Lexington in 2017.

Unfortunately due to my deafness, I have to opt out of these commentaries which saddens me especially when they praise Andy! I have found the last few years particularly difficult - my accident in Corfu in 19, swiftly followed by the loneliness of lockdowns in 20 (with the dratted masks/unable to lip read, etc), and too many family problems/deaths this year. The chat/banter on here has helped me so thank you all. Roll on 2022! - got to get better and truly hope it will be so for Andy. x
