Andy will take on Ugo Humbert in R1 at Metz. As already posted (in the main thread) Andy leads their H2H by 1-0 (https://www.atptour.com/en/players/atp-head-2-head/andy-murray-vs-ugo-humbert/MC10/HH26) having beaten the Frenchman en-route to the Antwerp title in 2019.

They'll play 4th on Centre Court on Tuesday 21st September
not before 6pm local (5pm UK) time.


For the statheads ... Andy is 23-3 against French players in France.

Certainly an encouraging performance, some high quality tennis from Andy against a top player even if Humbert's level did drop somewhat and the motivation was evident and likely helped by a lively crowd. Hope he can keep the consistency going.
