R1 at Indian Wells
Andy (WR121, CH#1 2016) plays Adrian Mannarino, FRA (WR51, CH22 in 2018).
H2H is 2-0 in Andy's favour - both wins in 2015 at IW and USO (5 setter!)

Their match is on Stadium 1 and follows Emma Raducanu v Sasnovich which is scheduled to started n/b 6pm local (02.00 UK).

So an estimated time for Andy's match is 03.15/04.00am!!!
:sleepy:

It's on Stadium 1 which is televised on Amazon Prime.

I will definitely not be able to watch these until tomorrow morning! I want to see Emma's but if I was getting up in the middle of the night for just one it would be for Andy's. The problem is they're bound to mention the result of Emma's during that so I can't! It's also too much hassle if my bro hears me :crying: his hearing is not good now but always amazing in when you don't want it to be!

Hoping for a good, calm, win for Andy. Hope everyone enjoys watching

go Andy :cheer:

I just want to take a sentimental moment to point out how special tonight is. Britain's two Grand Slam singles champions and active tennis players have been scheduled on on the same court and in the same session in Indian Wells. As the previous UK GS winners were Virginia Wade in 1977 (last title) and Fred Perry in 1935 this is definitely a historic moment. Given the men's tour and the women's tour do not often come together, I wonder if this will occur again. Would be great if it did! Good luck to both! :)

Yes well done Andy! That was pretty routine and so everything still in the tank for future rounds!

Very pleased he won, but far, far too tired at the moment to stay up for it.

I was up early to catch both Emma's and Andy's matches and enjoyed Andy's easy win. Towards the end I had a bit of a mental block when I mixed up the names of Alcarez and Andujar (both Spanish) and thought Andy's next opponent would be Vukic (whom I'd never heard of) and had Andy already through to Round 3! Perhaps I need a visit to Specsavers! x

Hopefully now the seeds are playing Andy won't be playing the evening matches.

Watched Andy’s match on replay - one of the benefits of Amazon Prime.
He looked good - Manarino has been struggling of late I gather.
Hopefully this will give him more confidence and more much needed points.

Well I really enjoyed watching that!!
Please can someone tell me who was commentating with Annie K? I know I recognise his voice, but my brain is failing! :dunce:

Peter Odgers. I find him incredibly dull, no Petch that's for sure.
