Hi all
We are away to Prague for the 2022 Qualifiers for Fed Cup.
The event is on 15th and 16th April - Good Friday and Easter Saturday.
We do not yet know the venue but it's likely to be either Prague or Ostrava or Prostejov.
All are clay courts and used for WTA events and ATP Challengers.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN GOING ...
1. I suggest you book STRAIGHTAWAY a CANCELLABLE HOTEL in Ostrava for 3 nights (Thu/Fri/Sat) and in Prague for the same 3 nights via booking.com.
2. If you wish to have time looking round Prague you could also book 2 extra nights there either before or after the above... ie. Tue/Wed or Sun/Mon.
3. If the venue chosen is Prostejov (outdoor clay centre, used for Challenger events) and you want to go you'll need to book a hotel pdq because it's a smaller town with fewer options.
TRAVEL
Prague is the capital and offers good transport links to other cities.
Trains run Prague to Ostrava via Olumouc every 2hrs for a 3.5hr journey approx.
Trains run Prague to Prostejov via Olumouc every 2hrs for a 3hr approx journey.
For train travel UK to Prague and beyond see www.seat61.com (http://www.seat61.com)
For all the 3 venues it's likely best to fly to Prague for onward travel.
But consider going by train to see the scenery and save the planet.
Czech local trains are good and cheap.
