Hi
I have been contacted today by Kent County Supporters Club asking if I want to put my name forward to be included in their Wimbledon ballot run by the LTA. My problem is:
I was previously successful in the direct Wimbledon ballot and my tickets have been rolled over to 2022.
My question is:
Can I still enter the Kent County Supporters club ballot as I already have tickets for 2022?
Any advice appreciated.

I think you'd need to contact Wimbledon to ask that question as only they'd know the relevant 'rules'. And/or speak to the Kent CSC and ask them? Or the LTA?

I agree with Sallydaisy. Contact Wimbledon to be on safe side. You don't want lose ticket with them thinking your cheating system or something like that. They pretty strict.

Tickets via a club ballot through the LTA are completely separate to the Wimbledon public ballot- and you can accept both.

I had an email from the LTA on 29 November 2021 saying:-
"This year, Compete, Play+ and Fan+ Advantage members will be entered into one ballot, with everyone having an equal opportunity to purchase a pair of tickets on any show court on any day across The Championships. In previous years ticket allocations were split between clubs and different membership tiers. Compete and Play+ members over the age of 11 are eligible to Opt In."
I took this to mean there are no club ballots (just a single LTA ballot separate from the AELTC process) but I may have got the wrong end of the stick - does not affect me as I'm not in a club. There was a complete shambles in 2021 for some of those with LTA and AELTC sourced tickets (some were fine, others had their tickets cancelled) - hopefully this will be clarified for 2022.
That's the LTA Advantage ballot opt-in open.

I just got offer my ballot ticket today from 2020 from Wimbledon. Paid for it. If you been offer ticket ballot 2020 before COVID shut everything down so you may get email soon.
Anyone been offered tickets via the LTA Ballot? They said the ballot commences on 1st March and while you'll only get an email if successful, I had a quick look on twitter and it doesn't seem like these offers have come through yet. Hopefully soon!

I am sure I would have seen it on Facebook if they had started doing the ballot. I seem to recall the last ballot was supposed to start at the beginning of March and didn't start until sometime towards the end of the month. On another note the LTA never sent the link for Laver Cup tickets. Perhaps they sold out yesterday.

Okay thanks, it does say up until the 1st April but I couldn't remember how it was last time.
From what I have seen, Laver Cup tickets are very expensive, so I doubt they will have sold out.

I have just had an email with two tickets for Ladies Semis on 7th July. Well chuffed!
I've been offered tickets for the one day of the fortnight that I've already got something on...
Success in the ballot for me too - centre Court on day 1

It's Court 2 on the first Wednesday. I take it to reject them I simply don't pay? Doesn't seem to be any way to say "no thanks".

I had an offer from the LTA ballot for Court 2 in the first week. Will probably decline that.
Last year ticket restrictions (no more than two per household) were strictly enforced leading to a complete shambles for some of those with LTA and AELTC sourced tickets (some were fine, others had their tickets cancelled). From a quick look at the AELTC conditions of sale (31 Jan 2022 edition https://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/tickets/conditions_of_sale.html) I fear this may be repeated. The restriction of two tickets per person applies 'Irrespective of the channel via which such Applicant is making said application' (clause 5.3). See also clause 7.1 & 8.1 (although it covers a slightly different point). I couldn't see anything to the contrary on the LTA website.
Despite the goobledygook there is a risk that people purchasing a set of tickets in the LTA ballot sale may be blocked from buying more in the later sales for this year's Championships. The advantage of being an LTA Advantage member is, well, a bit limited (perhaps they could rename it an LTA Disadvantage Member?). On the bright side it may be easier to pick up tickets in later sales (fewer people will be eligible to buy them)!

Just bought Centre Court for days 3 &4. It's 2 tickets per household across the Championships so bought singles for those days. Any family asking to come with me were politely refused so I can do 2 days instead of 1

what is the point behind the ban ? Is it to raise awareness of the war and generate more support against it ? Is it to make Russia and Belarus pariahs on the sporting and wider socio-economic world stage. On either point I doubt that Mr Putin will give a damn. so the only people it directly affects are the players themselves, and their federations. Ultimately it then cuts the supply of players from those countries into the world game, as they won't be welcome. Again, Putin doesn't give a damn. But the ATP/WTA/ITF must take a stand, once FIFA banned the teams from the World Cup then it snowballs from there. if you don't ban teams / players in your sport are you seen as supporting the war, which is crazy. Don't quite know what to think.

I am of a similar mindset. As long as they are not seen to be supporting the war, I cannot see why they should be punished.

It was the same during apartheid wasn't it? Maybe they should renounce their nationality if they want to compete. Sport is powerful. It's also highly likely a Russian man could win, right? I don't want to see Russia using those pictures for propaganda. I'm actually OK with it.

I was stuck there for about 60 mins - I think Secutix (their whitelabel) are having other sales today (AELTC are selling Amex, middle Sunday today, qualifying etc and possibly non-Wimbledon sales) so hopefully you will find plenty of availability for the LTA sale when you finally get through
I'm in and can see all sessions... It says two per household across the Championships. I think, on balance, I'm going to pass as I am going to see my Packers at the Tottenham Stadium and would rather splash out on that.

I feared it would be one pair per household but tried anyway. I waited 2 hours and was allowed to buy tickets. They seem to have changed it this year so that LTA members with correct membership can buy tickets in addition to the myWimbledon general sale ones. I guess it’s the same as entering main ballot and LTA ballot which has always been allowed. That’s why it was so annoying last year!

I received my tickets on the Wimbledon app today (via the LTA ballot) I have Band A centre court tickets on day 1 and was expecting the seats to be closer to be honest...gangway 503, row Y.
Maybe Price Band B is a lot smaller but given in their FAQs they've said "The accessibility of our ticket pricing is very important to us. We have recognised that it is time to provide a difference in price for those seated at the front of the Centre or No.1 Court stadiums compared to those sitting at the back." it seems a bit bizarre to draw the line at row Y.
Just wondering which gangway and row others have received for their respective band?

How do I transfer tickets to my guest?
After clicking on a ticket, you will see the following options: 'Show Full Ticket', 'Transfer Ticket', 'Cancel Transfer' and 'Return to Sender'. Please select the 'Transfer Ticket' option. You will then be prompted to enter the email address of your guest (twice in order to confirm the correct address). Once this information has been completed, you will be able to transfer your ticket to your guest.

I got a ticket in the LTA Resale, paid for Band A and it is block 512, row W. 10 rows from the back. It seems that only the very back rows are Band B. I also have a ticket via the MyWimbledon Resale, which was also Band A, and that is not too bad at block 314, row L.
I really don't feel the 512, W seat should be Band A but it seems they've only allocated the very back rows as Band B. The price difference between band A & B on the days I'm going was only £5. It hardly seems worth them having bothered with the tiered pricing. I agreed with it when they announced it as I've previously sat on the literal back row of Centre Court and also sat on 3rd row, and the difference in spectator experience is very great, so it did seem wrong that they same price was applied, yet the new tiered pricing seems a waste of time.
It should also have been clear where the split between Bands A & B are, but I couldn't see anything on the seating plan to indicate it. The FAQs comment on accessibility is a bit silly really. The difference in price bands was only £5 on the days I'm going in the 1st week. Let's face it the tickets are not cheap, so if someone can afford band B at £70, they can probably afford Band A at £75. And in block 512, row W I won't have the same experience as someone at the front who will have paid the same. It's all a bit bizarre really.
I still haven't received the emails to activate my tickets, so they aren't in the App yet but I can see my seat allocation in the desktop MyWimbledon account.

Based on my experience last year, if anyone has problems getting the mobile tickets to work you go to the Ticket Resolution Office at the entrance. I went on Day 1 last year when the mobile ticketing was introduced and there were a LOT of technical issues. My ticket never appeared in the App because there was glitch with the Android version of the App. I produced my email confirmation and photo ID and they issued me with a paper ticket.
I'm sure it will be better this year, as they've had a year to sort out glitches but the general way tickets are issued is now via the App, not paper tickets via the mail

Mine and Gill’s band A tickets are at the back, row X and row Y. Row L is the furthest forward I have heard anyone have band A tickets bought from either of the online sales. I am guessing that those successful in the ballots got the better seats, but having said that, I also know people who have ballot seats near the back. Hoping they sort this out for next year.
Guessing the band B seats might be the ones they used to sell the night before on ticketmaster. I have court 1 band B tickets from myWimbledon sale and they are row ZC

Also have my tickets safely in the app. Totally agree with you lovetennis on the banding / pricing etc.
Didn't realise they went to ZC on Court 1, thought the last row was Z

Got my ticket email late last night and now have them in the App
My tickets are not in My Wimbledon App, just looked. Do you have to get a ticket email first?

Yes- in the email there is a link to accept your tickets. Once you do that they appear in the app.
Thanks for the clarification. My friend bought band A tickets thinking he would get better seats is in the 500s, row Z.
If there was a bit more transparency regarding the difference in bands, that would have helped a lot as it seems a lot of high expectations for little reward. Oh well, I'll still go with my friend but was hoping with two Band A tickets I'd get some close action on centre court. Only been on Centre Court once before (near the back too) and it was fine but oh well, maybe a close up one year.

I’ve now got my mobile tickets. Not keen on having to get my mobile out for the seating steward every time I go in and out of the court. I usually put my print ticket in a lanyard round my neck. I rarely switch my mobile on, the battery is hopeless. I would have to keep switching it on and off! Will be away from home so no access to a printer on the day when the Code arrives on mobile ticket. Any suggestions, apart from buying a new mobile?

Get a power pack (charger) so you can charge your mobile when you’re in the Wimbledon grounds. Then you won’t have to worry about running out of battery.

I found last year that the steward on my gangway got to know my face, so after having to show my mobile ticket the first few times I went in, he stopped asking for it and just waved me in. There was only 50% capacity when I was there in the first week last year so I suppose there were less faces to remember but they are usually good at getting to know the people in their section.
I also agree with Caro - get a powerpack. It saves having to worry about losing battery
Had a bit of a panic yesterday when reading the small print on ticket conditions. It said something about not being able to buy tickets on the day if you already have a ticket to the championships … our group was worried that meant we weren’t allowed to queue! A friend phoned Wimbledon (nearly an hour’s wait to speak to someone!) and was assured that queuing is still allowed. Just thought I would pass this on in case anyone else had read this as it is definitely NOT clear.

How you know which gate to enter Wimbledon grounds? In past with ballot ticket and Ticketmaster ticket it tells you which gate to go to enter grounds. This my first mobile ticket and there no info which gate to enter grounds. I know there be staff at each gate and will direct us but would be nice to know before arrive.

Generally the stewards were directing Court 1 ticketholders to Gate 1 and Centre Court to Gate 3, but as there were only a few people at Gate 1c I went in there even though I had a Centre Court ticket. Nobody bothered. Have your photo ID ready, they check that against the name on your ticket, then you proceed to have the ticket QR code scanned and you're in

Are Wimbledon using middle Sunday as an excuse to generate more revenue ? By playing for one extra day I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to how much more they are bringing in. One thing though, there appear to be less matches on the main two show courts this year than before, I'm sure there always used to be at least 4 matches scheduled on Centre, and if they finished early they'd put a doubles on Centre. Compare Centre Court to the main courts at the other GS, there are less matches played per day, especially as they don't mind late finishes at Melbourne and NY. Although can you buy a ticket for the whole day at those events, or is it day time or evening only ?

3 matches is the norm for Centre and 2, very occassionally they put on an extra match. All the other Slams start at 11 am
And Aus and US Opens have night sessions. I don’t ever remember more than 3 matches on Centre Court but agree splitting 4th round means less matches on those days. I fancied going to those 2 days but glad I didn’t in the end. Loved being there the first week.

Certainly a lot better chance of seeing who you want the first week! Although I didn't get to see Emma, Andy, Rafa or Matteo!

Nobody got to see Matteo:sad:
I was lucky enough to see Andy and Emma twice and queued for re-sales on Saturday to see Rafa. Had a great quick … brought home covid as a nice souvenir though  Luckily have no symptoms and wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t had to do a test to collect Steve’s dad from respite!
