Knocked out in 1st round by Delbonis & Gonzalez, also an Argentinian, - a 38 year old doubles player. Went to a match tiebreak which Argie's won 10-8.

Tight but another disappointment for Jamie/Bruno.

Skupski/Koolhof d Martinez/Sonego 6'3, 7'6 in R2 to progress to the QFs.
They'll next play the winners of [1] Mektic/Pavic v Bopanna/Shapovalov

Congratulations to new world number 1 Joe Salisbury! He and Rajeev beat Tsitsipas & Lopez 7-5 7-6 (2) and by making the QF Joe takes the top spot. So deserved, absolutely breathtaking talent :clap::clap:

Nooooo. Isner and Hubi steal the first set on a breaker. Awful bit of luck for Joe and Ram with netcord on their set point  Come on guys!, turn this around :cheer:

You have got to be kidding me, now a break down in 2nd after another net cord :crying:

Phew! Back on serve. Justice. Clutch return by Ran on deciding point

Well that was a travesty. Should have been a set and break up rather than down, but for 2 horrible bits of bad luck  just not their day :crying:

Ouch! I did feel Joe and Rajeev lacked a bit of punch and finishing power today. Their opponents hit the ball much more aggressively. Disappointing. I do hate professional doubles players being beaten by singles players.

Must say I absolutely LOVE watching Skupski and Koolhof. Looking forward to their match this afternoon.

Yes! Skupski and Koolhof into the final. They beat the Italians 6-1 3-6 (10-5). They did very well because Fabio doing his usual possum act of complete disinterest then lightening play out of nowhere to take the 2nd set. Hope Neal and Wesley can go all the way - great team :cheer:

Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Not liking the prospect of either pair of opponents for the final but will keep everything crossed.

Hmmmm methinks Skupski and Koolhof have their work cut out in the final. Both opponents serve bombs. If they can return serve, maybe concentrate the attack on Isner?

Darn it ... 1st set to Isner/Hurkacz by a tie-break 7'6(5). Very close.

Hurkacz/Isner take the 2nd set 6'4 and the title in Miami.

Not a great deal in it really but pity Skupski/Koolhof did not win the crucial points, still good run.

Felt certain if it came to a tie breaker Isner and Hurkacz would win..... serves :grrr:
