I don’t think so, he has just taken the first set 6:1………..!!!

I think that’s his first second round set since Sidney

Some great tennis from Andy as he takes the first 6-1, keep going! Shapovalov though may cut down on some of the errors.

Been up since 5 so the long delay was causing me a fair degree of drowsiness but worth sticking it out for that brilliant 1st set from Andy! x

Great going so far. Andy's movement on the clay is so good. Serving also very impressive tonight. Keep it going Andy :knight:

Looks like the 2nd set is going the wrong way. Hope Andy has the legs to take the match from the young fella. x

Get in. I make that back to back wins and in absolutely spectacular fashion. Enormous progress. As well as the win, I love that he's obviously desperate for a shot at the king in the next round - that's confidence. Everything's coming together at just the right time. Simply cannot wait for the box office next match!

Great to stay up late and watch Andy win!
Something about the way he’s moving right now and how’s he’s holding himself - he’s exuding confidence!
Is it the Lendl factor? Is it the change to his training he mentioned?
Whatever - bring it on!

I realised afterwards that the frequent 'wrong shot' choice he was making in the tournaments prior to this has stopped. The only thing I didn't like was still being pushed behind the baseline. He looked quicker last night.

One of the most heartening things is that Andy played great tennis in the 3rd set when Shapo had found his game was also playing well. No fading, instead the ability to wrestle control deep in the match - very encouraging.

What an absolutely fantastic match. So impressed once again with Andy's movement, serve and all round intelligent play. He recovered quickly after slight dip and just fought all the way. I'd watched Jamie win earlier in the day and to watch Andy's awesome win simply made the day perfect.

Was delighted with the result. Although went to bed after the second set. Followed it on iPad. I was impressed with his movement although it made my joints flinch.

Certainly one of Andy most impressive wins lately, seems to have a bit of a spring in his step . Whatever happens in the Djikovic match (hopefully he competes well) certainly ground for optimism.
