Andy seemed pretty much on song and Rodionov was never really able to to make much of an impression,a very solid start even if was facing player outside the top 100.

What a great match - I honestly think Andy looks very confident and is moving so well. I hope this tournament is good for him and augers well for the next few weeks of grass.

Great match by Andy today, the only person I can see troubling him is Sam Querrey but Jack Draper could be another one

Me too, especially as the only time I have seen Andy play live was in Los Angeles and he lost in the final to Sam Querrey!!!!

I missed the match, as I had to be out all morning and most of the afternoon. Well done to Andy and it's good to see his ranking slowly going back up again.

Wonderful to get underway on the grass. Nice start to ease in. I'm beginning to appreciate more the gladiatorial blood and sand of the clay but cannot beat the grass, especially when Andy's in full flow on it. Great to see him looking so at ease, this is his terrain and he knows it. With Fed out, (fit) Andy's the best grass courter bar none - looking forward to the season.
