Draw is a bit skewed. 3 Of this weeks finalists -Andy, Berrettini and Dan are in the same part of the draw - only one of them can get through to the quarters.

Hope he’s taking it easy as long as possible before playing on that new grass
If anyone is going there, make sure you take loads of water with you and suntan lotion as it'll be very hot there (especially later this week).
Well done to Paul Jubb, the only Brit to qualify for it.

Andy is up to 47 in the live rankings. Now the spectacular unfairness of clay dominating the specialist surfaces comes into stark relief. If Queen's was a masters Andy would only need to win 1 round to be seeded at Wimbledon. 3 masters on clay not one on grass. Queen's should be a masters and Eastbourne 500. Even then it still wouldn't be balanced, but would be a start.

Before 2015 it was even worse. Queen's and Halle were then only 250 events.

I vaguely remember that Queens did not want to be a masters - I can't remember reason why. Don't know if that will ever be reconsidered now there is an extra week between the French and Wimbledon - it could never have been a masters the week immediately after a grand slam.
Draper up a set and a break now :)

Great performance from Jack as he takes it 6-3,6-2-well done!
Cameron takes the first set against Dimitrov 7-6

A bit different in the 2nd, Dimitrov up 5-0, hopefully Norrie gets going again.
Tighter in the 3rd but unfortunately Cameron could not recover the break , Dimi takes the decider 6-4. Dimitrov played well but still somewhat disappointing.

Expected, but what a shame and blow to his Wimbledon preparations. Poor Andy.

A pity but think for the best, hopefully Andy fine for Wimbledon.
Good effort from Liam Broady after drubbing in first set, Cilic eventually prevails 6-1,4-6,7-5 though.

I watched Ryan Peniston's match and I was so delighted for him.
I followed the doubles matches scores and was very surprised to see Koolhof and Skupski lost to de Minaur and Norrie, yesterday. I know Koolhof and Skupski have been getting to finals and have won them or have done very well in all the other previous tournaments.
Amazon Prime is covering Queen's as well as the BBC. At least we have a choice of commentators.

I hope you had a good day, we really enjoyed it yesterday. Real shame about Jack, he just seemed tight and really nervous today.

Looked like the tide might have turned but a gritty performance to fight back in the 3rd,well done Ryan!:cheer::cheer: Tough for Berrettini earlier against Kudla but after dropping the first found a way to take it 6-4 in the decider.

Brilliant from Ryan! Loving the crowd’s reaction, sounded like an Andy special towards the end!
Glad Ryan is there to give us a bit of a lift :cheer:
So happy for Ryan. Have loved watching him play. I was at Queens on Tues to se him beat Casper and home from work in time to see him beat Cerundolo yesterday. I am watching on prime, Petch and Tim were commentating yesterday :big grin:

Hard Luck - but well fought - to Ryan Peniston who lost today in his Quarter-Final match.
Krajinovic finally sealed his place in the Semi-Final by 4-6 6-3 6-3
After winning the first set, I had hoped Ryan might win the match. But, it wasn't to be.
Lack of experience in these situations I think. He was trying too hard at the end. Really enjoyed watching him play though. Hope he moves onwards and upwards.

Having been there today, he really had the crowd behind him but I think he ran out of gas or ideas in the last set
The semi final line up, with respect to the players involved, is not exactly scintillating (and when we say that phrase we’re not really respecting them, but still … ), I have to say I’m glad I didn’t pay the astronomical amount for semi final tickets!
The starting line up was nowhere near the quality it usually is, as in (I think), only one top 10 player! Seems more went to Halle. What has happened to Queens?! And yet still the ticket prices are ridiculous

It was the same last year. I believe a lot of the top players (who previously played at Queens) are avoiding it because of the amount of tax they have to play.

Doubles semi has rain delay so Prime is showing 2016 final Andy v Milos.
They walked back out, warmed up and decided to come back today. Pity I won't be able to watch it, as not even the Red Button will be showing it. They rather show rowing.

Congratulations to Matteo Berrettini. A second Queen's title :clap::clap: I don't love his game but impossible not to like him. Just keep him away from Andy, Dan and Cam at Wimbledon.
Well done Berrettini

Berrettini certainly done well on the grass again and had hand surgery not so long ago. Whilst he done better than I expected Krajinovic could not really push him enough. Not the biggest fan of the Matteo's game either but is quite engaging.
