Spoke too soon. Liam Broady playing in qualifiers today. If he wins he may be in the other half to the other 5 brits.
I wonder why they did not award Liam a wild card to the main draw?
Liam's match qualifying match against Millman just starting.

Ray Penistone vs Rune first up on Centre at 11.00.
Dan Evans vs Mannarino 4th on Centre not before 3.30 pm.
According to the BBC Live guide they are covering Ray and Dan on iplayer. I'll believe it when I see it though as I thought the Beeb was just meant to be covering WTA matches there.

Ryan Peniston has beaten Holger Rune 4-6 7-6 6-1 so his good play continues.

Fabulous win for Katie Boulter. Her first over top 10 as she fights back to beat Pliskova 1-6 6-4 6-4. Brilliant effort, really happy for her after all the injury woes.

Dan v Mannarino was a gorgeous, almost retro grass court match. Right result too as Dan wins 6-4 6-3.
Another good day for the British

Some win for Jodie even if Badosa was not that comfortable. Serena/Ons Jabeur won their doubles match 13-11 in mtb.
Harriet Dart beat Teichmann in 3, continued from yesterday. Some good stuff, but loads of uf's. Teichmann didn't play near to her ranking level. Dart came from a break down to win it.
Boults a set up on Kvitova.

Close in the 3rd but Kvitova takes it 7-5, not to be this time. Disappointment for Dan Evans unfortunately as he goes out to Maxime Cressey 7-6,6-4.
Harriet Dart has her 2nd win of the day, beat No79 Kostyuk. (she is only 19 though) She's on a roll :GBflag:

Good for Harriet, Jack Draper has taken the 1st over Schwartzman 7-5! Jodie Burrage went down 6-1,6-2 to Haddad Maia though.

Another big win for Jack as he beats renowned toughie Diego 7-5 7-6. So pleased and relieved it didn't get away from Jack after he failed to serve it out. Keep going Jack :cheer:

It is on bet365

Play suspended in 3rd set I think on serve 3-2 - presumably daylight issues in the south.
Amazon later said they didn't have a stream for Ryan as it was Court 5. Which is strange if bet365 had it. I guess tennisTV may have had it too.
Yes Ryan's match was suspended due to daylight hours. It resumes at 12 noon tomorrow and only a short break before the winner plays Draper.

Tennis TV did have it. Ive subscribed to it for the month, originally to watch Andy at Stuttgart, and am quite impressed as can watch replays as well. I don't believe they show the slams so I will cancel at the end of the month and just choose when I think it is worth it. Like watching this month of British Tennis here in the USA.
Thanks. Interesting to know that amazon weren't covering all televised courts. They said there was no stream, which stopped me looking elsewhere, but obviously it was just not for them.

Ryan Peniston sets up an all British quarterfinal with Jack Draper. Meanwhile Cam is 5-7 4-5 against Cressy - saves a few match points but goes down 5-7 5-7.

Can't get into the Jack v Ryan match - too conflicted because I like them both so much. Such a shame when Brits are bunched together in the draw.
And it's Jack who takes it 6-3 6-3 - probably for the best as give him a better chance against Cressy. Ryan's out of steam after a brilliant run.
JAMES4578
23-06-2022, 16:37
Jack initially a break down in both sets but soon turned it around, think Ryan was a bit jaded though. Cressy certainly having a good run and tricky opponent , pity Cameron could not put him under more pressure though.

Groan. Cressy the ultimate servebot takes the first set breaker.
Not sure he’s pure servebot. He’s an out and out serve volleyer though, but that’s really rare these days so adds variety in its own way. I can think of servebots who are much more boring
They are giving a presentation to Jo Konta. :)
