Competitions Checklist and Deadlines: 2013 Australian Open!

There are quite a lot of competitions to enter when it comes to the slams, so here's a useful (I hope) checklist!

Forum Competitions

1. FTM (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?15-Forecast-The-Match-Andy-Murray) (Forecast The Match): overall FTM deadline before start of play, Andy's 1st match deadline before start of match. Look out for the rest of Andy's matches.

2. FTD (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?29-Forecast-The-Match-Jamie-Murray) (Forecast The Doubles): same as FTM but for Jamie. (Doesn't count for CoC*)

3. Top 8 (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/showthread.php?482-Top-8-predictions-for-2012-entry-deadline-1st-mens-singles-at-the-Australian-Open): note that your predictions for the whole year have to be in before the start of play at AO.

4. Bubble Gap (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/showthread.php?538-Bubble-Gap-Championship-2012): deadline is start of play. You have to pick a number that no-one else has picked so don't leave it too late!

5. Ten Men Tumbling (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/showthread.php?547-Ten-Men-Tumbling-Australian-Open-2012-Deadline-Sun-15th-Jan-23.59hrs-UK-time): deadline is Sunday 23.59pm.

External Competitions (counting for CoC*)

1. Pick'em/BOTB (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/showthread.php?553-2012-Australian-Open-Battle-of-the-Boards-pick-em-contest): deadline is Sunday 23.59pm. You don't have to be in our team for your score to count for CoC.

2. TFF Dream Team (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/showthread.php?539-TFF-Dream-Team-competition-Australian-Open-2012): deadline is 00.01GMT on Monday (one minute past midnight Sunday). You need to join our team (see thread for password). Only your men's team counts for CoC.

External Competitions (not counting for CoC)

1. WTA BOTP (http://www.andymurrayfanforum.com/forums/showthread.php?545-BOTP-WTA-Pick-em-Aus-Open-2012): similar to Pick'em but for the WTA draw.

Note that start of play for AO is scheduled for Sunday midnight GMT

*CoC - Champion of Champions: This is something we keep running throughout the year, with points from the various comps throughout the year going towards it. So the more comps you enter during the year, the more chance you stand of being the 2012 Champion of Champions!

Flying visit to check that I've done everything (unbelievably busy weekend), I have except for FTD but will try & do that tomorrow. Phew! Nearly time for kick off, can't stay up tonight but hoping to be here for Andy's early hour matches. Praying it will be the best major yet for our man!

Just a note about the deadlines for Monte Carlo.

The Bracket Challenge was scheduled to close at 9.30am this morning - and we seem to have followed roughly that deadline for the FTM's and Bubble Gap.

However, I am not sure why the ATP chose that time (or at least didn't amend it) when the OOP released for today clearly shows that the Main Singles Draw will not start play until 12noon at the earliest in Monte Carlo i.e. 11am UK time.

The first main draw match is Dodig v Ljubicic, not before 12noon MC 11am UK time, followed by 2 more matches on Court Central. The other 12 matches are all Qualifying rounds including the first one between Bolelli and Bubka.

The ATP have closed the Bracket Challenge.

We'll keep FTM open until the Dodig/Ljubicic match starts - probably in 10/15mins time 'cos it's over-running.

Roland Garros Deadlines
10am UK time tbc pending OOP.

According to the tournament schedule there will be Main Draw Mens and Ladies Singles matches on Sunday 27th May and a start time is given of 11am local which is 10am in the UK. That's the likely deadline for all competitions relating to RG unless the OOP gives different when released later today.

Deadlines for all Wimbledon competitions appear to be 11.30am on Monday 25th June except for FTM for Andy's first match and FTD for Jamie's (but it's 5pm probably on the 25th).

Main Draw action starts Sunday - a few R1 matches.

ATP Bracket Challenge - they have set a deadline of 18.00hrs ,

Bubble Gap and FTM main draw - also 18.00 12/8/12
However, we have some flexibility to keep these open if matches don't go according to schedule.

The OOP has been released and Main Draw Mens singles play starts not before 16.00hrs local time. So, the ATP Bracket Challenge deadline has been updated and corresponds to that and it's the same for FTM Main Draw and Bubble Gap Competition.

16.00 ET (USA Eastern Time) = 20.00 GMT = 21.00 BST (British Summer Time).
