In his interview Andy says that Nigel Sears is helping him out this week. Ivan could not go this week and Mark Hilton had to return home. Nigel Sears is there coaching Harriet Dart.

Certainly a mighty battle and challenging physically but inspiring that Andy found a way in the end, well done! However tough to watch at times and may well have taken a lot out of him.

All thru his playing career, Andy has never failed to impress me how he finds a way to win thru all the twists and turns of a tight match. Watching him and Stan tonight was a real blast from the past and I'm just so chuffed for Andy that he got the W. I think poor Nigel Sears was definitely feeling the heat as he squirmed in his seat during some of those close tense points! So onto the Battle of the Brits next!

What I don’t get from what Andy is saying in the above clip is why he doesn’t play more aggressive all the time then!
He was struggling with cramp and was able to make that switch which meant he won the match - so why not do it all the time?

I hid and watched until 2:30am :dance: just like old times :clap: loved how Andy stepped up and admitted he made the shots shorter because he had to, now would love him to remember that all the time. It would be so good for his body and our heads :sofa:

Just loved watching that. It took me back about 10 years - except watching that 10 years ago would have aged me 10 years lol. Now I just appreciate that they are both still out there battling. And named in DC squad - have had worse first days back to work!
