Love the way Federer included Andy in his battles as part of the Big 4!
Recently Andy’s been sidelined from that group by commentators and others. - but Andy was very much part of that group - pushing them as he pushed himself

and Eurosport 1
I really enjoyed today, except Annabel Croft and her co-American presenter had to keep naming the sponsors. They’d got two large screens which people, who didn’t have any tickets, could watch. One had a few rows of deckchairs in front of it and the other was in the warm up area for the players. They were allowing everybody to queue to go into the warm up area. I saw Cameron Norrie with Rafs Nadal after the practice session had finished. Federer turned up in the Swiss marquee and it was complete chaos as everyone, standing round it, jostled to either get a photo or his autograph. The security people just stood there, telling everyone not to push anybody else.

Did you have some sort of special opportunity to see this in person or just turn up?

Andy being ripped by Bjorn and paying the bill

I decided to join the Eurosport just to watch the Laver Cup. But, there is no sound on my iPad. Any ideas?
Andy and de Minaur warming up.
Andy serves first and gets broken straightaway.
I went back to the Swiss marquee, HoopGirl, and saw a large crowd standing round it. So, I joined them and that’s how it became chaotic as more people suddenly turned up after realising Federer was there. I think in yesterday’s arena about half the crowd were screaming children.
Team Europe stand and cheer as Andy breaks back.
Andy screams with delight and the Europe team celebrate as de Minaur does a double fault and hands the first set to Andy.
That was breathtaking tennis! I wriggled and squirmed in my seat with every ball that was struck. This is so good.
de Minaur breaks Andy’s serve to make it 1 - 2..

What a pity(cramping issue in latter stages), however some intense and exciting play.
De Minaur wins the match.
Federer and Nadal win the first set 6 - 4.
Tie break in the second set.
Federer cries as he and Nadal lose the match.

Amazing entertainment... Thanks to Andy and everyone else that participated and goodbye to Roger, a tennis legend (even if he did drive me mad at times with so many wins at Andy's expense). Hopefully we will still see him around in exhibitions.
Nadal was a bit emotional as well during Federer’s farewell.

What a night! Never thought I’d shed tears over Fed but, as part of Andy’s history, I found it really emotional! Although it was a bit like baby blues, laughing at the same time!
I’m beginning to think Andy’s monkey is back and it’s his belief that is missing some, his game is really there and even the cramping could be stress! Great shots from Andy and I was sure he’d win but loved it anyway!

So lucky to be there although Jackie and I left after the 1st set and watched the end at home. Very emotional ending to a wonderful career

certainly an emotional night , a fitting tribute. Obviously would have been better had Roger/Rafa won but in the end it was the experience that mattered. All the other players also proud to part of it.
Just got back from the fan zone in the warm up area. I loved it when Andy was interviewed during Norris’s match and said he’d texted Norris’s coach on what Norrie should do during the second set.
Novak wins 6 - 1, 6 - 3 against Tiafoe.
Berrettini and Djokovic win the first set 7 - 5.

Great point about stress - it might well be!
Team Europe celebrate as Berrettini and Djokovic win the match 6 - 2.

Norrie could not quite complete the recovery against Fritz this time though hopefully gained some confidence, Djokovic dominate proceedings tonight though Berrettini was also impressive. Team Europe now in strong position at 8-4.

Really looking forward to being there again today
Thought this match was last on. It’s actually first. It’s started.
3:1 to Murray and Berittini. Murray has just held to 15.
First set to Murray and Berritinni 6:2. Murray’s serve us working, which makes all the difference.
Berritinni broken at start of set 2. 0:3
1:1 - the dreaded match tiebreak:-(
Lost on the match tiebreak. I hate tiebreaks.
ugh, alas Andy dumped the ball in the net which handed to point to World, served it out from 9 - 8.
i see Felix is straight back out playing Djo, fascinating warm up session Djo just put himself through.

Gutted for Andy that he lost in the doubles and hoping he doesn't take it personally!
Off course I want Europe to win but if Felix plays his game here and not 'Djoko' then he should get this one!
As a wee extra I keep thinking Stefanos looks a little lacking in confidence sometimes when going forward to cheer and maybe not as self important as I expected.

I thought I should cheer for Novak but actually pleased Felix won. I don't understand how they pick the players but why put Novak out if he's got a bad wrist? Team World are always a group of young players and the underdogs against such formidable talent. I wouldn't mind too much if they won

Well they did win!
A very strong team.
Hope Andy is okay - I thought he played well
I and everyone else got filmed, twice. We hoped to appear on the big screen and to everyone watching at home. Instead, everyone except the two female Federer fans were cut out. As soon as Tiafoe had won it, they put all the deckchairs up for sale.

Certainly was exciting and some fightback from Team World, well done! Team Europe seems to have the edge but could not make it count and as well as Auger Aliassime played Djokovic's wrist was obviously an issue. Felt Tsitsipas let it slip somewhat mind you, even if some stirring play from Tiafoe in the latter stages. pity obviously Andy/Matteo could not get over the line though still was pretty good performance.

Think Europe need to include a doubles specialist next time. Having Sock was a big boost to the World team, even if he didnt win all 3 matches his experience was v useful to the pairings. Or maybe both teams include a doubles pair.

Agree with Suttontennis above about the doubles specialist.

Have read on twitter that Andy and Steff are now friends on Instagram. Good if no grudges being held. I also thought Andy was the best at cheering and encouraging when players missed a point rather than only when they were winning, when it isn't needed as much.
