Andy was hoping for a good run in Basel but sadly doesn't look as if he's going to get it, trailing in 2nd set. x

Not a good score line for Andy, beaten 6-3,6-2. I have only been following on fs so would be glad of feed back. x

The initial break proved a false dawn as Bautista Agut soon took control. The spaniard played well but too many errors from Andy and the 2nd serve was ineffective (only winning 27% of the points on it). Thought it would be tough but had hoped for a better impression, disappointing.

RBA is always a tough competitor but for some reason Andy wasn't on his game today; seems Cam was wasn't either! x

Serve not great and way too many UEs. Seemed to happen every time he tried to put some extra zip on his shots.

Disappointing result - I thought he might lose but it would be closer - he’s making hard of it this week for some reason.
He’s gonna struggle to get the rankin point he wants for the Australian open.

Thought Andy looked pale and then emotional at sit down, mid match.

Down the lines were off by miles.

Still better score than last time they played!

I have read that Andy wasn't in the right frame of mind as he has missed two of his children's Birthdays this week.

Was so sorry I had to miss this match yesterday, a long standing engagement which I had to honour. Was really hoping I would have had a good match to watch on the replay, but judging by comments on here, I don't think I'll bother. Might make me even sadder. He has Gilles Simon in Paris, and if he gets thru that one, it's not going to be any easier! For his sake, I hope he has a decent end to his season. But great to be still watching him compete even though we don't always get the result we, and he, would like!
