3rd match is not before 3 am. And Andy is 5th match so I am guessing he will start between 6.30 am and 8.30 am.
The match preceding Andy v. Korda has just started a deciding set.
Match about to start. Up on live scores.
Betting sites are streaming it, so there must be coverage somewhere...
Looks like Tennis TV is still only covering the main court.

The match is being streamed on TennisTV on my laptop, but not on my Firestick on the TV.
Tennis tv via Jokerstream. Who's the English female commentating?

Korda won the first set 7-6(3)
Second set not going well.
I find it difficult to watch him these days. I think the Standard has moved on.

Equally I feel Andy has gone back to his old defensive ways which doesn't help either.
I feel so disappointed for Andy. I really do want him to have one last big hur-ray this year; not necessarily at Adelaide (as soon as I saw the draw, I felt the result might not go his way) and I worry about the AO and 5 sets, but a good run at the other tournaments. Is that too much to ask of him and his body??

I agree. I would like to see him bow out at Wimbledon and then take on Emma or Jack as a coach.

I can foresee either Andy or Tim being DC Captain in the next couple of years. But Andy would probably want to be a playing captain. Is that allowed ? Has it happened before ??

Was Lleyton Hewitt a playing captain when he was still playing some doubles?
I do not see Andy being a coach on the tour until his children are a bit older but maybe DC Captain would be less travelling.

The tennis fan in me would love to see Andy coaching Jack or Emma. The dad in me very strongly thinks that playing is a reason for his young kids not to see him very much, but not coaching. While the kids are young, they will benefit from having their dad around. Or do something like Cahill did when his children were young - he could offer availability at say RG and Wimbledon, Queens and the European tournaments and perhaps the USO as a special case but not be away for weeks at a time.
So are we all accepting that a sideways step to doubles is a non-starter?

I believe he's said he won't go to doubles.
I know Andy feels he is essentially a singles not double player but doubles would give him matches for his last years and be easier on his hip and with the right partner be very successful.

I don’t know that would be enough for Andy but I would just love to be able to watch and cheer him for longer. I also think he might enjoy it and could continue to play for a good while!

He played in the doubles in 2016 v USA, with Peers, losing to Bryans, and in the doubles in 2018 v Austria with Peers, beating Marach and Melzer, both as captain.
Korda has now made the final. Once again Andy lost to a finalist.
