Iga Swiatek takes her 3rd French title over Karolina Muchova 6-2,5-7,6-4,well done! credit to Karolina for making a contest of this after being 6-2,3-0 down and put the world no1 under pressure with her variety. However had real shot twice being up a break in the decider, faltered a bit at the end but Iga was able to raise her level and put the czech player under pressure. Muchova had put out 2nd seed Aryna Sabalenka in the semis,coming back from 5-2 down in 3rd to take it 7-6,6-7,7-5 in a lengthy encounter.

I wasn’t able to watch live and had planned to watch on catch up but heard the result before I could get to watch it. I was really hoping Karolina could win. She is so talented and has been sooo unlucky with injuries! Final is still a great achievement although I’m sure she won’t see this yet. Well done Iga, brilliant player.

Final was amazing. Hope I get to see both players at Wimbledon
