Who's watching Andy?
I am.
No one seems to have much to say!

At one set all it is looking like Andy's match won't finish tonight.

I hope he can hold on to this break and get 3rd set.

Just keep holding serve Andy!!!
Good lad, that's a hold to 15 for 5-3 in the 3rd set.
A break now would be awfully nice.

The forum is running a bit slow; not sure what the problem is but posts are taking time to appear.
Bear with us; it might resolve itself.
Third set to Andy 6-4 :yahoo: :yahoo:

Muzz is 2-1 up. Can he romp ahead in the 4th set before they stop play at 11pm???????

Ahhhh. Just seen that play is suspended for tonight.
Sensible IMHO given that yelp from Andy before he held serve to take the 3rd set.
Score stands at Andy 6'7(3), 7'6(2), 6'4.
It's just like the old days :coaster:

Gosh that was exhausting.
Just like the old days of Andy playing and me cleaning windows to help with the stress!
Hope Andy’s groin is okay and he isn’t stiff tomorrow and keeps the momentum going
That was impressive. He was under the cosh for nearly 2 sets but improved his tennis. Did I hear over 80% 1st serves in? That's in-your-dreams compared to the last few years. Very pleased for him.
Wow ..... what a match!! I wonder where and when they'll put them on tomorrow? Alcaraz and Djokovic are both scheduled for Centre with a women's match in between. There will be a riot if they don't put Andy on Centre though ...... difficult!!

Said the same thing to my brother earlier. Such a good match! Shame they couldn't finish it tonight.

Exhausting but brilliant! Yes just like old times but I’m not so good with stress! Also like the good old days, I’m on hols and had to follow on live scores for 1 and a half sets because I can’t view anything from the BBC. Watched through bet365 in the end! Stress!
How brilliant is it to be watching Andy at this level? He just continues to amaze and definitely makes the stress worthwhile :)

So enjoyable. So hope he gets just one more set! Stefanos is no slouch and Andy's beating him!:dance:
Andy second on Centre after the Alcaraz match.

Was brilliant seeing Andy again playing at such a high level, hope he can get the job done in 4 sets

Stefanos looked completely nonplussed towards the end of the 3rd set. But he's still a massive danger with his forehand and if Andy's serving level drops then the match is far from over. Andy was coping with the Greek's pace on serve and off the ground so well. yes just like 'the old days', Andy drawing the sting from his opponents best weapons and gradually imposing his will on the match.
I don't think I can remember Andy serving any better than he did yesterday. He has to bring that serve onto court today. :knight:
Wonder how much difference having the roof open will make.

With the match being held over from 6th July I am hoping 7 will still be Andy's lucky number! Memories of 10 years ago today.
Let's hope that's a good omen!

What a nuisance- that missed challenge :banghead:

Didn't challenge a ball that was in, would have given him 15-40.
This is going all the way, which isn't all that much of a surprise.
The good news is that Andy is serving first.

I dare not look; it's bad enough watching Cam battle Chris Eubanks right now!
:sofa:
3 break points for Tsitsipas...
Andy looks a bit deflated...
2 saved, but a UE gives the Greek a vital break.
who are all the people in andy's box? judy, lendyl, max bender, matt little and kim
Too many u/f's..........
It's all over, as Tsitsipas serves out to win 7-6 6-7 4-6 7-6 6-4.
Never more time for Wimbledon to drag itself into the modern world and use Hawkeye instead of lines people.
Really sad he lost, but was worried what another few hours rest would do for Tsitsipas. Andy doesn’t have youth on his side.
He couldn't produce the intensity of play he did yesterday. Shame.

Gutted really. Wimbledon seriously need to look at their scheduling. Starting at 1.30 is just too late. If they had started at Noon the match could have played the 4th set last night & I would have liked Andy's chances then. Hope he can be heartened by the way he has played

Gutted :crying:for Andy!
Also annoyed at the timings. Wimbledon never seem to learn.
Also annoyed I didn’t get to watch a whole match :crying: hoping Andy takes a lot of positives though, maybe not today xx big hugs everyone.

Im so gutted about this.
Was really hopeful for good run this time.
He could have won last night if they’d not stopped the match.
So so sad - hope that wasn’t Andy’s last appearance at Wimbledon

So sad Andy couldn't get the win today. I agree with others, that if they'd been able to finish last night he'd have done it. He should take it as a positive though, with how well he played, especially against such a good player!

Oh dear. Heart breaking moment... I just saw the official Wimbledon interview after the match.
Somebody mentioned the point at 4-4 where Andy's backhand was called out but it was shown that it was in. Andy had not realised and his face.... oh dear!
PS This is on the official Wimbledon site on course.

Yup as I said, time to bring in electronic line calling. It would have been 15-40. Andy won the next point so that would've been 5-4 instead of 4-5. He then held serve. So ergo GSM! OK the psychology would've been different and doubtless played some part but he could have and arguably should have won in 4 sets. So much for Sissypants arguing with the umpire over an earlier point and saying it could adversely affect the match for him :grrr:
Agree with a lot of what is said here. If only the match could have finished the first day. If only that point had been called. Andy was so close to a win. So, so sad!!! I have been thinking at previous tournaments that have used line judges, that the electronic line calling needs to be everywhere. It has become very efficient and therefore would solve a lot of discrepancies. Hopefully Andy will reflect on how well he was playing, but I can understand his immense disappointment after all his hard work. However he has come back before and he is playing as well as we have seen for a long while, so would be a shame to quit now. We will always love you Andy, no matter what you decide. You've given us many years of excitement, happiness, even despair. All part of the amazing journey we have been, and still are on.

I can only reiterate what has already been said. There are so many "if only"s. The sooner the better for electronic line calling - the umpire's eyes can't be everywhere. I really hope that after some time and reflection Andy will feel like going on to try again. His play was at such a high level and he was so close to winning that match. Of course it is sad and disappointing just now but he still has more to give and hopefully more rewards to come.

I’m still feeling really sad about this loss.
I really believed he was going to do well
Can’t imagine how Andy is feeling
I was on centre court for both parts of this match. Andy was playing so well on Thursday, and so energised, getting the crowd involved. We were not surprised they stopped at the end of a set, as fair to both players but as others have said, should have started earlier given this match to finish was in addition to 3 other scheduled matches!
We didn’t know that 15-30 point in the 4th set was in as of course, they don’t show them on court.
Still feel absolutely gutted. I really believe Andy was going to beat Tsitsipas. He has been playing so well and has worked so hard to have a good run at Wimbledon. So, so sad for him.
