Matthew Perry, who played Chandler in Friends, has died aged 54.

As this has now gone 'National' I'm sure many of you are aware of the tragedy that befell Adam Johnson, a player for my team the Nottingham panthers, on Saturday night during a game in Sheffield. In what has been described by many as a 'freak incident' Adam, an American playing his first season in the UK league, was accidently caught in the neck area by an opponent's skate. He attempted to skate off the ice but collapsed on his way to the team bench. he was rushed to hospital but failed to recover from the injury and died during the night. He was 29.
The incident has left the British Ice hockey scene in complete shock, and tributes have poured in from around the world.
I've tried to post a link to one of the tributes to give an example, but unfortunately the forum isn't playing ball. Again.

Thanks Stell for keeping us up to date . I remember a school field trip to the cinema to see Olivia Hussey in Romeo & Juliet. It was the book we were assigned for "O" level. We were all so excited to be going to the movies during school time.

us to Worcester (UK) to see Romeo & Juliet because we were studying it for O Levels.
I lived in the sticks with very few cinema trips so it was quite a nice trip!

Sallydaisy, It would have been 1969 I believe as I left school that year as well, aged 16. Our school was walking distance to the cinema, along a walkway that bordered the boys school on one side and a church and graveyard on the other.

Roberta Flack has passed away, aged 88, from Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
She had a wonderful voice and was well known for her R&B hits "The First Time ever I Saw your Face" and "Killing me Softly with His Song". Initially trained as a classical pianist, she taught music until her breakthrough in her 30's.

Richard Chamberlain was always Dr Kildare to me. I had read the book before he was in The Thorn Birds and he was not my image of the character he played in that.

Crispin Glover has announced, on Instagram last Saturday, his father Bruce died on the 12th of this month aged 92. Bruce Glover played Mr Wint in Diamonds Are Forever amongst his film roles and Chuck Harris in CHIPS and Wilkes in Hart to Hart amongst his TV roles.
