Andy vs Sinner is second night match. The first night match starts at midnight UK time.

That old rule that the match before Andy goes into a third set, especially if this pushes it later in the night, seems to be functioning well.

Even more so.... Alcaraz served for the set at 5-2 and ended up needing a tiebreak. Well, at least Andy will be on soon....

Oh my goodness - Andy unable to play due to an abdominal problem. He is on court making his apologies. Now signing big tennis balls!! :crying:

Yes. What a pity. But it was interesting that there were some initial boos and then they turned into a round of applause as the crowd realised what a decent thing it was for the player to actually come to court and tell them the situation.
He also said he had this before and it took 10-12 days before it was OK.
Our Andy!

Oh no frustrating the right decision though. Hope does not take too long to recover.

This is the BBC report but you have to close up the gaps,
and insert backslashes instead in the link I've posted below, to access it:-

That’s really sad.
In the BBC report he says it might be his last time playing there too

So realistically he won't play again before the US Open so he can't get himself seeded:crying:

I was really hoping he would get seeded for the US Open.

Me too, such a shame for Andy, he was so near... ranked 36 at moment

Sad :crying: especially mentioning that it might be his last time playing there. Anyone know if we can see the video anywhere? I suppose they might show it on the new highlights today.

This is sad. He can't seem to catch a break. We had to get on ferry to Ireland today, and my plan was to watch the replay on the ferry without knowing the score. Then I couldn't find it, so I thought maybe rain had stopped all play and it would be on today. I was worried when I saw that Andy couldn't play. Poor Andy.

I did get some planning done though for places to visit. So fortunate to be sitting on the couch in our AirBnB looking at the ocean in the distance.

The ?Andy?s Schedule? page doesn?t seem to be working, so I am posting this here.

Andy is currently still in the Cincinnati draw
