British players R1 draws:
Andy Murray v Corentin Moutet
Dan Evans v Daniel Galan
Cam Norrie v Alexander Shevchenko
Jack Draper v Radu Albot
That’s as good a draw as Andy has had in a looooooooong time.

This is one heck of a R1 match ...
Tsitsipas v Raonic.

Qualifying not happening in New York because of rain - so we won't know for a while if Liam Broady joins them in R1.

Anyone know how watch it streaming sky sports?
EDIT: Apparently NOW TV is only way and it expensive for 1 month. :( I prefer it was on Amazon Prime.
Sky Sports ArenaHD 408 showing qualifying from 3.0pm today

Shame that Liam Broady didn't make it into R1 at the USO.
However, he has a chance of a LL spot, these are the other 3 possibles:
Federico Coria
Arthur Cazaux
James Duckworth
BBC saying that all 4 British men will play on Tuesday.

We still can’t work out where/how to watch it? Not on Amazon and our Firestick doesn’t seem to help either! Anyone have any suggestions?

Prime are no longer showing Us Open, Sky Sports have contract till 2027. can also watch via Now Tv without contract, there is offer for ?26 a month. otherwise Betting sites I believe but would be no catch up there! htt ps://www.radiotimes.com/tv/sport/tennis/us-open-2023-tv/
It is on Sky. Can get it on NOW TV too. NOW TV may possibly be on Firestick.
From tennisontelly
Daily on Sky Sports Tennis (Arena), often simulcast on Sky Sports Main Event.
Additional coverage on Sky Sports Action (days 1-8) or Mix (9-10) to QFs.
All-court coverage on Sky Stream, Glass and Q, Sky Sports App, and bonus streams on Now TV.
Sky are just showing Andy on the practice court.
And then interviewing Deliciano about Andy.

Great - all courts on Sky does not work with Sky + and does not work on laptop on Sky Sports App if have Sky +.
I would have been better off paying more for the Now TV.

Frustrating Cazza. I had an offer for 15 pounds on Q(pound sign not working here for some reason) for just Sky Sports Arena and Action so took that giving notice to cancel after a month, can still access 15 courts though via Red Button.
Speedy Hawk
28-08-2023, 17:11
I subscribed Now TV at weekend hoping I see all courts and nowhere did it say it not available show all courts. Now TV only show 2 courts. I was annoyed and on live chat to cancel my subscription cos most of matches I will want watch won't be on main 2 show courts.
So if you are okay just 2 show courts then Now TV is fine, if want all court then it cannot.
EDIT: Just annoyed I cannot watch US Open at least 5 years thanks to Sky Sport make it inaccessible to everyone else don't buy Sky for 18 months or more contract! I just have to hope that Amazon or Eurosport outbid Sky after 5 years.

Disappointing in that case Speedy, According to tennis on the telly there were likely to be Bonus streams on Now TV however not available on all Devices. htt ps://www.tennisontelly.uk/us-open-2023
Speedy Hawk

Live chat told me that they only have rights to show 2 courts on Now TV. They do not have rights to show more.
It is very disappointing. Only way to see all courts is buy Sky Sports.
Tennisontelly were saying it depends on the platforms you are watching NOW TV with. But some weren't working earlier and have been fixed.
Sky have offered to let me cancel the month I paid for so I can get NOW TV, but don't think it is worth it in case NOW TV does not work either and it is more expensive. Sky gave me the tennis for ?18.00.
I think you were told wrong Speedy. This is what tennisontelly is saying about NOW TV
If you're looking for the all-court streams on Now TV, they've moved them to the bottom of the Sport page and they're not on under the US Open button anymore. Check you're using a compatible device at htt ps://help.nowtv.com/article/now-features
Its is possible Sky Sports app is not working with laptops even if you have Sky Q - just mobiles. It certainly does not work with Sky+ .
Speedy Hawk
28-08-2023, 19:55
I do have compatible device. Hmm. Too late since it cancelled and if I re-subscribe it be full price and I don’t want pay more for something so unreliable and unclear. They told me only 2 court available and no other courts.
I think you would have good grounds for them to let you resubscribe at cheaper price if they have told you wrong,Speedy.
Rune is out!!!!
Had him down as a semifinalist in my bracket.

I try again next year after I know 100% if someone else defo can see other court this year Now TV. Too much work effort this year and unlikely they will let me back anyway on offer.

A fine win for Jack Draper and he's into R3!!!
6'2, 6'4, 7'5 over Hubi Hurckacz, 17th seed, ranked 106 places above him.
His likely 3rd round opponent is John Isner ...
:help:
... although Mmoh has just taken the 3rd set against his fellow American for 1-2.
Mmoh a break up in the fourth set. If Mmoh wins this match it could be Isner's last match.

Interesting R3 match up between the American and Jack Draper ...

In R3 he plays Italian Arnaldi who came through in 5 sets over Fils.
Dan Evans through in 4 sets against Van De Zandschulp - 1'6, 6'1, 6'3, 6'3
Next up for Dan is Alcaraz!
Sent a stinky email to Sky complaining about their rubbish coverage and telling them how much better Prime is at this. Do they think we're nocturnal over here? No match replays for anything you can't record!
It'll be water off a duck's back but it made me feel better :grrr:
Which email address did you use Pabbers. I want to do the same. Ihave already posted on their twitter.
I have Sky+ and no multicourt and the app does not work on laptops. Mobiles are too small to watch tennis.
My internet is down and may be for a few days, so may not be around to post as much. On a very very weak wifi link from neighbour.

Couldn't copy the Sky address here Cazza. But they've replied.
Good morning,
Thank you for your email to Sky Sports regarding our coverage of the US Open.
I am sorry to read that you feel this way regarding our coverage.
Sky Sports does make every match available to view via the main coverage on Sky Sports Tennis and our Red Button service. There are also highlights published for individual matches and a selection of match Highlights made available On Demand from each day of play. We also replay matches from the previous day on the Tennis channel.
Regarding the overnight matches that take place, we are offering 2 out of the best 4 matches that take place the following morning/afternoon on the main Sky Sports Tennis channel. Its an editorial decision taken each
day as to which matches will be featured. These will be scheduled throughout the morning as well as a 1/2 'recap' programme at 3pm, just prior to the start of the day's live coverage from 3.30pm. We cannot offer all matches in full On Demand unfortunately.
We are glad you have taken your time to let us know, feedback is welcome good or bad and helps us gauge how our customers feel about what we're doing.
We have considered the points you raised in your email and would like to thank you for taking the time to share your views with us.
Doesn't really address the whole issue!

I do not mind paying ?6 per month for Amazon Prime Video (for tennis and occasional films etc) and would pay similar for Sky tennis but I will not pay Sky price to include loads of stuff that I would never watch. For US Open this time there is bet365 livestream and the US Open app on iPad is good for highlights and press conferences as well as match scores etc.
Thanks Pabbers.
It is incredible how Sky are probably one of the most expensive platforms around the world to watch the tennis, yet they offer less than what we got before.

02-09-2023, 17:43
Wow that really bad! I am really missing US Open since I do not have Sky and Now TV only show 2 courts so cancelled subscription before it started. It real bummer that Sky will keep US Open at least 5 years (their contract) before anyone else have chance. I really hope either Amazon Prime or Eurosport will get it back since they far far better at this!!

Sky mucked me about 12 years ago and I'm having nothing to do with them ever again!
I'm just following on Flashscores ...
Where ...
Alcaraz leads Evo by 2 sets to 0.
Norrie has lost the first set to Arnaldi, 4-4 in the 2nd set and on serve.
And ...
Jack Draper is 1 game away from a place in R4.
He has just held serve and leads 6'4, 6'2, 3'6, 5'2.
Mmoh serving to stay in the match!

Get in Jack Draper!!!
Took the 4th set 6'3.
Plays either Rublev or Rinderknech next.

Oh dear, Norrie now down 0-2.
Dan has just broken Alcaraz in set 3, serving now at *4-3.
Was it the general customer services email address Pabbers. The only other one I found was for viewing complaints.

Oh dear, Cameron Norrie out of USO in R3 to Arnaldi.
However, Evo has taken the 3rd set against Alcaraz!!!

Awesome for Jack, well done! Another disappointment for Cameron mind you. Dan done so well to take the 3rd but Alcaraz seems on course for victory at 5-2 in 4th.
Alcaraz takes the win.
An entertaining match, even though Dan lost.
The Alcaraz v Evans match was phenomenal. Feli said he thought it would turn out to be the best match of the tournament. It had everything as regards shot making. They're both so talented but Carlos had the edge. Score doesn't reflect the level of Dan's play.
oop for Sunday - ht tps://www.usopen.org/en_US/scores/schedule/schedule13.html
Jack the last Brit standing as Katie also loses. A bit disappointing to go from 7 reaching the second round to only 1 reaching the 4th.

Dan played so well that I think if it had been anyone other than Alcaraz Dan would have won yesterday. There were some fantastic points played by both.
JAMES4578
03-09-2023, 12:42
Yes some incredible points and very entertaining. in a sense though not a great deal of pressure, still great effort from Dan. Doubt he would have beaten Djokovic either even though he had to come back from 2 sets down the other day. After splitting the first two tough sets on breakers Zverev dominated Dimitrov in the 3rd and 4th, taking both 6-1.
Enjoyed watching Dan vs Alcaraz although didn't like that Dan lost. Some of the shots were incredible.
I am in Uk but have been watching using my USA ESPN service through a VPN.

Jack Draper takes the 2nd set to level the match against Rublev. 1-1.
oop for Monday - htt ps://www.usopen.org/en_US/scores/schedule/index.html
Alcaraz has won in 3 sets and will play the winner of Zverev and Sinner in the quarters.
JAMES4578
04-09-2023, 21:07
Good effort from Jack but found it a bit tough physically as match progressed, Rublev takes it 6-4 in the 4th. Pity Draper lost the initiative really after being 2-0 up in the 3rd , lost serve for a 2nd time after being 40-0 up,
pretty straightforward for Alcaraz though had to come back from a break down in the 3rd.
I heard a short interview after Jack's match, on radio five live last night, and he said he was very pleased about the way he played as he didn't know if he would be able to play or not. So, we've only got Henry Searle in the boys juniors left. When I saw him play, at Wimbledon, he reminded me of a young Kyle Edmund.
We also have several players in the wheel-chair events.
Joe is still in the doubles.
JAMES4578
05-09-2023, 18:20
Indeed, Joe and Rajeev through to the semis.
oop for Wednesday - ht tps://www.usopen.org/en_US/scores/schedule/schedule16.html
Hannah Klugman is through to the QF of the juniors
oop for Thursday - ht tps://www.usopen.org/en_US/scores/schedule/schedule17.html
The women's semis are night matches starting at midnight UK time.
oop for Friday - ht tps://www.usopen.org/en_US/scores/schedule/schedule18.html
Medvedev stuns Alcaraz with a 3 sets to 1 win, and will face Nole in the final.
JAMES4578
09-09-2023, 16:12
Medvedev played very well but Alcaraz was not on top of his game and was disappointed , he fell away somewhat in 2nd after losing close 1st set. Did regroup but could not take the chances in 4th, long game at the end mind you. Djokovic surely big favourite now even if Danill beat him in the final a few years ago.

Eugh Djokovic v Medvedev  Hobsob?s choice! Alcaraz didn?t seem on form to me so maybe better that Medvedev is through.
Also I?m fed up with Sky having half matches everywhere, having to record every program because if I don?t, I miss the end of matches. Ridiculous for the price!
And Sky are more expensive than most places around the world.

Some high quality tennis but the result was never really in doubt as Djokovic takes his 24th slam 6-3,7-6(7-5), 6-3. Medvedev had a few chances in the lengthy 2nd set (1 hour and 45 minutes) but could not take them and there was no way back after that.
