Gerard Pique has accused the ITF of breach of contract, regarding the cancellation of their agreement on Davis Cup, and it demanding compensation of ?45million from the ITF. That'll really help with funding base level tennis won't it???

Kosmos entered the Davis Cup in 2018 for three billion dollars and 25 years and reformed the team competition, which sparked criticism. In January, the ITF announced the early separation after less than five years of partnership.

Kosmos then announced a lawsuit before the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) due to the alleged breach of contract. An out-of-court agreement has not yet been reached.

"We believe that what we did with the Davis Cup was a resounding success," said Pique, according to Marca: "We have restored the competition in terms of sport, economy and in terms of spectator numbers."

Silly man although when we hear record numbers today he would probably use that for his argument! Never mind the numbers leading up to this.

Pique 'We believe that what we did with the Davis Cup was a resounding success'. Tell that to the Aussie, French & Swiss players who had to play in a near empty arena last week. Yes the GB ties were fantastically attended, but that just goes to show that there needs to be home ties in DC

I know Lleyton Hewitt and Leon Smith commented on how many Australian fans there were compared to us and it should be looked at again.

Just received three emails saying that if I can't make it to our Davis Cup ties in Manchester, then I've got the chance to send my tickets back. Weird!!

Yes, it was a good fight in 3rd set - breaks each way and Jack had no break points in sets 1 and 2 - and at least one racquet smash.
