Last night, Merton Council gave the go ahead for the All England Club to expand. So, by the time this comes round, they should have started. They're due to finish in 2030, by which time, the qualifying rounds will be played there as well and not in Roehampton.
Last night, the Wandsworth planning officers reportedly told Wandsworth councillors to reject the ambitious planning application for the All England Club to expand Wimbledon, when they meet next Tuesday. In the end, it could be up to Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, and the Greater London Authority on whether or not they can go ahead.

I got offered some tickets through the ballot today. Court 1 day 11. Not great - need to have a think whether I want them
Last night, Wandsworth council rejected the All England's expansion plan. It'll now be up to the Greater London Authority or Sadiq Khan could choose to make the decision by himself in about two weeks time.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club will find out next Monday if they can go ahead and build an 8,000 seat stadium and a further 38 tennis courts on Wimbledon Park or not.
I was going to say, yesterday, it was decided that Jules Pipe the Deputy Mayor of London would decide whether or not the All England Club can expand but this website wasn't working until now.
I read, yesterday, Wimbledon could be moved to a later date in the future. I think it's something to do with the Billie Jean Cup ties.
I should think a problem with moving it later is that it gets darker earlier.
After the three Just Stop Oil protesters got given conditional discharges today, I should think the All England club will make the security even tighter.
I've read Novak Djokovic has pulled out of Wimbledon.

Could be the beginning of the end for Novak - torn meniscus was the start of the decline with Federer
Andy likely to be the only one of the big 4 at Wimbledon! Novak's priority will be the Olympics. x
Newspapers are saying it is unlikely that Djokovic will play Wimbledon rather than he won't. He had surgery on his knee 18 hours after withdrawing and apparently that is usually a 4 week recovery.

certainly will be tough for Djokovic to be really fit for Wimbledon anyway.
Confirmed that Andy and Jamie will compete together in the Men's Doubles at Wimbledon!
