6-2 set 1
After winning the quick 1st set 6-2, Andy gets broken at the start of the 2nd!
Looks like the 2ns set is slipping away. Is Andy ok?? (Only following on FS). x
Thrilled to see Andy has rallied and now 5-4 up in 2nd. Come on Andy, break him and win it! x
Who is commentating on Sky? I am watching on Tennis TV.

Andy looks to be letting the second set slip away

Yep it’s gone
One set point saved in the second set tie break...
But not the second. One set all.

Certainly disappointing in any case, had won his previous three matches with Paire.

What is going on with him?

That score has been a pattern for a while now - wins first set well and then falls apart
All started so well. In his defence, it was a poor umpire and rude crowd. Not sure what he will do now. x

:hmm:
Hope Andy is feeling ok this morning; if it's what you want son, keep at it and onwards and upwards! x

Article just out from BBC Scotlands Kheredine who used to follow Andy everywhere.
He talks about his recent losses - including this one last night and he wonders what Andy has got left

Scathing response to that from Andy on X.

Yes they had a feature about that on Five Live at 6.30 this morning.
As he says he’s not anybody and his goal is to play better before he stops playing
Shame we can no longer 'thanks'. I'm so tired of folk talking Andy down; we all know he's a one off - it's his life, his decision. x
I heard the same thing on Five Live, earlier. They were still talking about him and his decision to carry on at about 7am.

Radio Scotland 9-10am regular phone-in was on this today including talking to Kheredine who had not meant to imply that Andy should retire now.

Difficult for Kheredine who knows him pretty well I think.
But some people are motivated by moving away from something and some towards something.
I reckon this will fire Andy up more and if so maybe he can start to play better in matches- he clearly sees his potential when practicing.
So actually for me this is all very encouraging.
Andy has never done it the easy way - why would he now?

Personally I did not find it disrespectful though agree that Andy's legacy is assured regardless of frustrations lately. Nonetheless not a great deal of enjoyment from some of his performances lately so hopefully can have a few good results this year. whilst Andy earned the right to choose the time to retire think end of the year may be the best time (unless sharp improvement).
