He will play Alexandre Muller in R1.
Nice one, prefer Muller to Fokina! Good luck Andy - you have this! x

Maybe someone with Sky can help you Silverdee - sorry I can't help as I can watch only on Tennis TV or bet365.
The match is scheduled 3rd on main court so maybe around 3pm Tuesday.

A burst cyst sounds nasty but he seems to be playing well so far.
Thank you. Jane. It gave me a turn when medic came up on fs and found out it was Andy. Hopefully he'll get through in 2 sets. x

When you say a burst cyst where is this?
Andy breaks and leads 4-3 in the second set.

Hoopgirl - on Tennis TV he was heard to say at the MTO that a large cyst in left hip area had burst and probably fluid leaking down inside left leg was causing todays problem in knee area. Anyone else picked this up on commentary? What did Sky have to say?
Now a set and a break up so doing ok so far.

Muller breaks back!
If Andy loses this 2nd set, it won't be easy in the 3rd for him. Gutted for him. Hoping he can snatch it in a tie break. x
:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: Brilliant!!
:yahoo: Feels good to do that again after so long!
There is a God! He made it in 2. So very relieved. x

Exislander - thanks for that info - that sounds horrible.
That sounds like the cyst is on the outside of his hip then?
I followed him on the live scores and pleased for him.
From the BBC -
"Already a break up at 2-0, it looked as though it could be another frustrating day for the former world number one when he felt a tweak in his left knee and asked for a medical timeout after he held for 3-0.
Speaking to the physio on court, the Scot explained he had been feeling pain in the area for a few days and had received treatment for a cyst on his meniscus the day before Tuesday's match."
The meniscus is in the knee.

I know what I heard - and have listened again on the Tennis TV replay - he had a "bruise" on the meniscus in December which felt similar but a scan yesterday because of pain in his quad had shown a large cyst had burst in the hip area.....
Well done. Hopefully that boosts his confidence a bit.
Maybe he had 2 cysts then. The commentors and tennis TV are more likely to be right than the journalists.
