First set to Shapovalov, 6-4.
Second set to Andy 7-6
All to play for in the 3rd although don't think Andy is playing at his best so won't be easy. x
Andy leads 2-0 in third set - Shapo to serve
5-3. If he can win his next service game he has it or even better break him, come on Andy and he does! Nice win Andy. x
:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: Andy wins 6-4,6-7, 6-3

Brilliant Andy!! Well done!
In his post-match interview, Andy dropped his biggest hint yet that he's retiring this year.

Andy stepped up at the right times though another tough one, well done! see he has dropped to 67 in latest rankings so a few wins here would be beneficial. Yes Andy did say he probably does not have too long left (talking about career) but he'll do his best the last few months.

Great news to see!
What did Andy say about retiring?
I think it’s going to be the Olympics
He believes he might have a few months left, as he thinks he's struggling to beat other players.
Months can mean more than 12.
Wonder if it will be Wimbledon when
he retires though.

He’s down for the Olympics I saw so probably at least until then

Really, unbelievably happy with Andy winning today. I am in total denial about the retirement so every match keeps my dream alive.

I get that Banskogirl - his retirement will leave a huge void in my life too.
2025 will be 20 years since first Wimbledon as a professional. Maybe that's what he's aiming for. I'm hoping for as long as possible!!!
Who does Andy play next and when?
I think he might retire at the Olympics. He's had such success there.
