View Full Version : Wimbledon 30th June - 13th July 2025 - pre-tournament
I know this is very early, but it looks like the All England Club could get what they want regarding the extra 39 new tennis courts as the officers of the Greater London Authority (GLA) have recommended to the Deputy Mayor of London that he should grant conditional planning permission at a hearing next Friday (27th).
No surprise about the All England Club finally getting what they've always wanted. Angela Rayner now has up to a week to decide if it should go ahead or it should be look at again.
The All England Club have decided to get rid of all the line judges.
I would have put the website, but it doesn't work on this one. I found it on the BBC's website.

The other change is that the Singles finals in 2025 will start at 4 PM, following the Doubles finals at 1 PM. May not be the main reason but will likely suit Ameican viewers. htt ps://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/news/articles/2024-10-09/2024-10-09_operational_updates_for_the_championships_2025. html
With regards to the Wimbledon expansion there could still be a legal challenge htt ps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/articles/cy89n5k8j1no
