Lovely to see the Rafa Ceremony.

Andy, Nole and Roger were all there as part of the big 4.

Teresa
26-05-2025, 07:35
I found the Rafa tribute incredibly sad. I was no fan of 3 of them, but it really hit home what we have lost. I can’t see Djokovic going on beyond this year. Then the “Big 4” will be truly history.

JAMES4578
26-05-2025, 10:43
Certainly the Rafa tribute was moving and good to see Andy there as well as Federer and Djokovic .whatever our views on each of them they were part of a great era and Andy was very much part of that (even if he was not close in terms of slam victories). Djokovic must also be in twilight of career even though he took his 100th title in Geneva. However time moves on and I have comes to terms with it and support a number of the new generation.

3rd set has all gone with serve. Cam will be serving to stay in the set at *4-5.

Bublik - an awkward customer. Likely to see flashes if brilliance mixed with 'why on earth did he try that' shots. Known as 'one sock' after the DC in Glasgow !!

Bublik broke Jack in the 1st game of the 4th set and has stayed ahead.
Jack is clinging on and held his serve since then but Bublik is about to serve at *4-3 up.

Sallydaisy

Bublik serving for the match at *5-4 ..... and got broken by Jack!!!
So our Brit is serving now at 5-5.

CORRECTION!!!!!
There must have been a review because the score is back to*5-4 and Bublik has Ad.

A bit late commenting but such a pity for Jack, certainly Bublik was on fire but thought he still might have found his way through-could not capitalise at the end though. As expected for Cameron but thought it might have been a bit more competitive.

Salisbury/Skupski have advanced against Ebden/Peers 6-7,6-4,6-4.

Wow, Frenchwoman Boisson, WR361, has just take the 1st set tie-break over teenager Andreeva, WR6!

Up to now her biggest win on tour was the St Malo Challenger in 2024.
Injured just before RollyG last year, she was awarded a Wildcard into the 2025 event.
Now just 1 set away from the Semi-Final of a Grand Slam on home clay.

It ain't yet over and experience/stamina (at Grand Slam level) might become an issue -although Lois looks as though she's put in the hard yards. And the French crowd must be going nuts!

Sallydaisy
04-06-2025, 13:38
Andreeva went 3-0 up in the 2nd set but Boisson has held her serve and broken back, serving now at *2-3.

Boisson held, 3-3. 3 games away from an upset and place in the Semi-Finals to play Gauff.

Sallydaisy
04-06-2025, 13:54
Boisson wins!!! 7'6(6), 6'3 (she won the last 6 games!).

The partisan support always a great help but crikey, she's punching way above her ranking!

whilst Djokovic was pretty impressive Zverev was somewhat disappointing as the match progressd, particularly in the 3rd set and could not quite find a way back in the end. certainly a surprise with Boisson getting the better of Andreeva in the end,Gauff had a battle with Keys for a while but ran away 6-1 in the decider.

pity for Neal and Desirae though was tight.

Glad Coco Gauff overcame Sabalenka 6-7,6-2,6-4. Difficult conditions and not always the best tennis but some drama and Gauff was stronger mentally. Has a more attractive game.

unfortunately Granollers/Zeballos take the decider in the Men's Doubles 7-5 to take the title, close in the end though!
