Since qualifying for Miami Masters 1000 last year, Kendrick has played just 10 matches (with a complete break in the last 6 months of last year) and lost 9 of them. In the two matches he has played so far this year, he has taken Michael Venus and Jack Sock to 3 sets.

I've been reminded on Twitter that Kendrick's 'complete break in the last 6 months of last year' was due to a drugs ban related to an ingredient in a pill he took to counteract jetlag http://www.itftennis.com/shared/medialibrary/pdf/original/IO_61397_original.PDF

The other seed in Wardy's section (because it's an ATP 500, there are only two qualifying rounds) is (q2) Tobias Kamke (GER) WR 89, whom James beat 4 & 2 in Vancouver 2 years ago.

Disappointed Milos didn't win. He had a break in the second set and couldn't hold on to it. Fair play to TunaMeltz. Still Danny and Max won the dubs and this is Milos' third final so far so pretty good going all in all.
