Thanks Lizzim....love the detail and the photos are great.
Great blog! Thanks Lizzim! Love that you whacked people with clappers! A few years back, me and my brother did the same at a DC :)

Entertaining blog and fab pics Lizzim!
Thank you so much for your blog, Lizzim. It's been especially welcome as I couldn't be there myself.
Am amazed that there was no pre-match entertainment. That's something new! Hopefully they will continue to spare us.
Thanks Lizzim for the great blog and pics - really enjoyed reading it. :thanks: :)
The final (slightly off topic) instalment is here: http://lizzim18atdaviscupbraehead.blogspot.com/2012/03/february-sunday-12th-february-detour-on.html

Thanks Lizzim - great blog and good to hear Seabreeze is doing fine and wow Sheffield is a bit of a change for her from Florida!!!
The spire is a famous one .... it's Chesterfield's Crooked Spire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesterfield_Parish_Church)!

Snake Pass is brilliant to drive up/down!!!
I crossed it late one night when there was very little traffic and that was a tad scary; especially when I saw it in daylight the next morning!!!

It was very slippery and the car in front of us was moving extremely slowly......! Might take another route next time we head to Sheffield :)

Ah yes, the crooked spire in Chesterfield - my town of birth!
Lots of tales as to why its crooked (my favourite involves the devil sitting on it!) but I believe it is due to unseasoned wood being used & maybe partly due to heavy cladding.
Chesterfield is known locally as Chesvegas!

Thanks Lizzim...so interesting and nice to hear about Seabreeze. The people who were running up and down in the Travelodge were a group of young men Jeannie and I met in the bar. They were staying for one night before going to an uncles's funeral the next day. They had Jeannie and me in hysterics. Blame Jeannie, she kept them up talking!!

Don't believe all that SG says!! I retired to bed an hour before Maureen did !! It was probably her encouraging them to run around!! I don't know what happened after I went to bed-the mind boggles!!:red devil:  I am completely blameless!!:halo:
I really enjoyed your blog Lizzim. I now await SG's promised blog.

They were incredibly annoying. They were running up and down until about 4am and at one point were banging loudly on doors....including ours at about 1am. Just what you don't want the night before an 8/9 hour drive home!
