There's a 19-day gap between the end of Wimbledon and the start of the Olympics tennis at the AELTC. Shouldn't be too 'taxing' to play just the one match? No?

Rafa arranged this with Real Madrid some months ago, but hadn't yet found an opponent - the rumour was that he asked Federer but he turned him down. The proceeds are to be split between the Rafa Nadal Foundation and the Real Madrid Foundation (although now that Nole's on board, maybe some will go to his charity - I assume he has one). What a pity he didn't ask Andy instead! (Unless he did and got another refusal, though - we'll never know.)
