The photo clearly shows Andy with a canula still in place in the back of his hand with tubes leading off it both sides so that makes it a post-surgery photo for definite.
The canula (needle in the back of the hand) is put in by the Anaesthetist and only once you're down in theatre because it has to go in first before they wire in the tubes for any general anaesthesia, drips and medication which must be in place before surgery commences.
It stays in for a day or so afterwards, usually 24hrs after you're out of theatre, in case anything is needed quickly via IV for pain, nausea or infection control. Andy will have it removed before he leaves the hospital and only if they're certain it is no longer needed.

After spending 2 days in hospital you realise and appreciate how amazing a job carers, nurses, doctors etc do in hospitals all over the ...World looking after people who are in need.. Thanks to everyone at hospital for looking after me and putting me back together again..

I don't think I've ever seen him be negative really. Andy always looks for the positives, even when things are not going to plan.
He just shrugs it off, bins that plan and resets/starts again. ASAP.
So in my world it's always positive.
I'm certainly positive that Andy will do the right thing.
And I'm sure he's positive that when he does finally make his come back we'll all be right behind him cheering him on.
He'll probably be able to hear us from Brisbane.

There was nothing that I could report that I saw- there are other "Andy Murray"s and the pictures are in the public domain. It could have been a spoof and meant to be amusing but I didn't look at the tweets in detail. I just got rid of it from my account quickly in case it infected my details in any way or I got loads of nuisance people via it.

If it's the same as my official DVD it's Luke Jenson (of Jenson bros doubles specialist before the Bryans) and some American general sports commentator who I'd never heard of and who knows next to nothing about tennis. They are absolutely AWFUL. So negative about Andy all the time they can get away with it, then back track like little weasels when Andy grabs the big points and proves them wrong. They ruin the DVD, well they would but I mute them - bl**dy great to pay £20 for a souvenir copy and have no commentary, but they are hideous.

Sorry Andy, have to disagree - shbh, whether powerfully or gracefully executed are infinitely more stylish; Stan, Fed, Dimi, Domi, Kholi, Gasquet, all awesome and perhaps best of all time....Henin. Iconic shot. Oh and Evo's ain't too shabby either :thumbup: I will Andy's backhands in more than any other player, but single handers rule for style.
Have to admit that whilst Andy's backhand is undeniably effective, it does look rather awkward. Although I prefer to play double handed myself (we weren't allowed to at school, but I changed it as soon as I left).
There is no doubt that the single handed backhand is graceful and flowing and very good to watch, but for me the jury is still out on the merits of one against the other. I do rather like watching the double handers at work too. Esp Andy!

I'm always in awe of club players who hit a double handed bhand. It's so much easier just to block or slice, but to learn and execute the double hander, especially in a match situation, earns my admiration.

I underwent a hip resurfacing surgery in London yesterday morning...feeling a bit battered and bruised just now but hopefully that will be the end of my hip pain in😀 I now have a metal hip as you can see in the 2nd photo 👉👉 and I look like I've got a bit of a gut in photo 1😂

Sorry Guerkins the forum site won't take video's from Twitter or Facebook only from Youtube, I generally scour youtube before putting a link on forum, why I don't know but the forum has been like that for a while now! I think we will just have to keep our eyes open for the full interview with Andy from Amazon....they could be keeping it for Queen's who knows!!!:wave:

Did anyone else listen to Andy and Djokovic on Instagram live. They had a great chat for an hour, talking about their careers and favourite matches. Djoko can't half rabbit on but it was really interesting. A chat between two people with 20,000 people listening in :thumbup:

Yes it was excellent - yes Novak spoke in a lot of detail at times! It was good to see that several other tennis players were listening in - Stan, Feliciano, Dominic Thiem and Nick Kyrgios

I listened Kath! I really enjoyed it after the first 15 mins or so when Nole finally shut up and gave Andy a chance. Interesting as they exchanged views about their children etc. Andy reckons he has more patience with the kids than Kim! I thought it was very insightful and I did enjoy their 'build a player' chat. It was just so good to hear them...any port in a storm! Stay safe and well everybody.

Yes I liked that other players had tuned in. Andy could do a series. An hour with Nick could be hilarious but would also love an Andy and Feli chat. They have such good chemistry
