There's no wind resistance in that haircut.
I guess if he's planning on wearing a cap it'll work well not having sweaty hair, adding to the heat. But besides that I have no other positive emotions, only, what the hell has he done.
He actually looks like Lendl.

Anything that might give him an edge is worth trying!
Well it won't get in his eyes that's for sure! Probably much cooler 'cos I expect it's hot there

He must have lost a bet! If he actually likes it like that.....<shudder>

It's his hair, he can have it anyway he likes. I would have thought that this will help to strengthen it, as in areas it has become quite thin. His hair seems to grow quite quickly so it will soon be longer than it is now.
It's not so bad - I think he looks a bit like Davydenko :)
*ducks flying missiles*
If I get the chance, next week I'll say to him, "Hi Andy, like the haircut".

Not his best look BUT his hair will grow back pretty fast so we won't have to look at it for long.
I wanna see a front view before I give my opinion ! hehe

Would be the most logical explaination, unless Andy wanted a radical change! Though I suppose it'll help him in the heat!
Hopefully they'll ask him in the Monte Carlo pre tournament presser.

It's not particularly hot in Monte Carlo in April. It would have been a lot hotter in Miami.

But I guess his cap might stay on more easily! :rolling: Just trying to picture him when the wispy facial hair gets growing! Teehee. As long as there's no distractions to his tennis....
I'm hoping that his hair will look better in other pics! Really don't like that type of haircut. But at least it will grow back quickly - I like it when it's a bit longer and curly myself.

Yes, bring back the mad mop I say!
I really hope it went shorter than he had wanted and that he really doesn't like it! Am not the biggest fan of that cut and hope it grows back quickly! Mind you, maybe it looks a bit better at a different angle... Here's to hoping :p
Mind you if it brings Andy luck then...
I agree with Madeline - Bring back the mop. But it is his hair. :swingin:
I was just thinking the other day how nice Andy's hair was looking here.

My first thoughts were 'is he really trying to emulate Lendl in all things' and I see I am not alone in this.
OMG - cant say I like it - I do so love his curls.
Ah well, it will grow and be looking great to be pictured with the trophy at Wimbledon
It will be at just the right length by RG.
Yeah, its not as bad as I first thought I don't think. Click Click (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150667706031966&set=a.231935561965.134843.16814976965&type=1&theater)

I wonder what Kim thinks of it?
"@Rob_pal Andy Murray on his hair: I did it myself about three days ago. #DEAD"
Cheers Kelly, I'll follow you on :)
“I did it myself three days ago,” revealed Murray. “I just decided I wanted to cut my hair. It was my fitness trainer’s razor so I wasn’t sure how short it was going to be.”

There's an interview on the ATP website and - actually - it looks better than I dared believe. I still prefer his curls but he does look as good as ever - but then I am prejudiced.
The only problem is that it does show up what is destined to be a bald spot - at least the curls cover that up
Still love him anyway
I really think it's fine!
Talking of Andy's receding hair put me in mind of the banter about it with Colin and Ross at US Open. This clip always makes me smile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6Fc0p78ekI#t=0m41

Not sure if this has been posted, but Andy's hair over the years.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/tennis/picturegalleries/9207205/Andy-Murrays-hair-evolution-in-pictures.html?frame=2194859
Tennisspace (http://www.thetennisspace.com/off-court/andy-murrays-unintentional-buzzcut/)- Andy Murray's unintentional buzzcut
But it would seem that Murray didn’t mean to go so short. “Andy borrowed some clippers from Treacle [his fitness trainer Matt Little], and didn’t know that it would be so short,” his mother Judy, who is in Sweden preparing her Great Britain team for this weekend’s Fed Cup tie, told The Tennis Space. “Once he had started shaving his head at grade one, there was no going back; he had to carry on as you couldn’t have the hair different lengths. So he hadn’t worked out the settings on the clippers before he used them. Doesn’t matter, though. I like the haircut.”
Herald Scotland (http://www.heraldscotland.com/comment/in-praise-of/in-praise-of-andy-murrays-haircut.17344511) - In praise of - andy murray's haircut.
The world No 4's new Number 3 hair cut is not just a shorter style. It's a rallying call for the Scottish nation. It's a sign that says "I'm no longer happy to be a fringe success. I want to be Number 1." It's a sign that our collective inferiority complex is being cast aside. It's a sign that re-asserts the Braveheart motion he's prepared to go out there and battle.
