GB DOUBLES
We have a few doubles players in the top 100 of the ATP rankings and keep a record of how they are doing in a separate thread. So, this is for general discussions about where they are and how they're doing - and to post their successes!

Flemchins
There's a separate thread for Flemchins (Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins) who seem to have a 'permanent' and successful partnership and are currently the highest ranked Brits in doubles both individually and as a team.

Tournament threads
We usually have a separate thread for any event where Jamie Murray plays.
If Colin and Ross are in an event (separate to Jamie) we'll have a tourney thread to follow them in this sub-forum.
All other GB players are best followed in this thread for Challenger and Futures events.
For some we'll follow in the main Tournament Thread.

CURRENT WEEK RANKING
This will be updated weekly from the main Rankings thread.

Seven doubles players in the top 100. If only we could say the same for singles.

Big moves for Eaton/Inglot as they won the Dallas challenger beating 4th seeds Monroe/Sock 6-7, 6-4, 19-17! They also put out Knowles/Kendrick in another 3 setter in the semi.

I noticed that this week Eaton and Inglot are playing in Tallahassee and Marray and Zelenay are playing in Italy. Can't see Jamie playing anywhere - I wonder if he will accompany team GB to Braehead?

Excellent - I'm hoping to go on Thursday so might catch R2 Mens Singles and R1 Mens dubs.
Depending of course on the weather!!! Forecast to be around 16/17 degrees but maybe rain afternoon. I know they can play indoors but it's not the same as watching them play on grass.

Delgado/Skupski are playing the Quimper Challenger this week. They missed the cut for the Rotterdam 500 and this is the only Challenger event worldwide this week! ATP250's are in the USA and Brasil.

Ken Skupski ‏@k_skupski (https://twitter.com/k_skupski)
.@DelgadoJamie (https://twitter.com/DelgadoJamie) and I are in Quimper, France this week for what is expected to be a strong Challenger.

Linda

Seems like the best idea, not too far to travel (it seems a few others had the same idea - although it seems to me that the stronger opposition is in the other half of the draw (http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2013/6239/mdd.pdf)).

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quimper) has this to say ...
Quimper is the ancient capital of La Cornouaille (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Cornouaille), Brittany’s most traditional region, and has a distinctive Breton character. Shops and flags celebrating the region's Celtic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celts) heritage can be found throughout the city.
Quimper is twinned (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Town_twinning) with Falkirk in the UK as well as 5 other cities.

Unfortunately, it seems to be lacking in places to eat on a Sunday night!!!

Ken Skupski ‏@k_skupski (https://twitter.com/k_skupski) No food at club, restaurant, room service, local restaurant, supermarket or dominos. Considering my left arm. Slightly more meat. #shocker (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23shocker&src=hash)

And I'm quite entertained by the Hebergement section on the website!
Players in a 4* and officials in a B&B.

Good news from Quimper ...
Jamie Delgado/Ken Skupski[1] d Emilien Firmin/Gilles Müller (FRA/LUX) 6-4 6-3

Ken Skupski ‏@k_skupski (https://twitter.com/k_skupski) Solid start 6-4 6-3. Played a joke on the net cord points. #winning (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23winning&src=hash)

Apparently one of the players (may have been Skuppers) hit a serve which caught the net and went in for an ACE!
According to the new 'no let cord' rule that's how it is in Challengers now!
:tennis:

Potentially less good news from Delgy ... hope he's not out of action long!

jamie delgado ‏@DelgadoJamie (https://twitter.com/DelgadoJamie) Won tonight in France..play again thursday. This week then Marseille and then home for while to sort my back injury out hopefully for good

Sallydaisy

Delgado and Skupski made it to the Final in Quimper only to beaten to the title by the 2nd seeds.

(2)Brunström/Klaasen (SWE/RSA) beat (1)Delgado/Skupski 3-6 6-2 [10-3]

End of the line for Jamie Delgado and Ken Skupski.

As per my post above Jamie has to spend time away from the tour sorting out a back injury.
Given that he's now 35 I'd imagine if the problem doesn't go away that he'd have to finally quit playing.

And Ken tweeted a couple of days ago that Marseille would be their last event together.

Ken Skupski ‏@k_skupski (https://twitter.com/k_skupski) Disappointing end to a good week. Went down 3-6 6-2 10-3.
Heading to Marseille ATP 250 tonight for our final tournament together.

His wife's tweet says it all .........

Hayley Skupski ‏@hayley_skupski (https://twitter.com/hayley_skupski) Wishing @k_skupski (https://twitter.com/k_skupski) a successful last week in Marseille before
he starts his paternity leave and becomes a daddy!

So, we're unlikely to see Ken in action for a while and certainly not until after I/Wells and Miami.
Wonder who he might team up with?

Wishing them both the best of luck - Ken with a new chapter in his life and Jamie to heal properly.
They've flown the flag for British tennis in doubles that's for sure.
:GBflag:

I first saw Jamie Delgado play at the British Nationals in Telford!!! During the mid-90's I made the trip 3 times and watched both Henman and Rusedski in action there as well as many long since forgotten British players (Alan Mackin, Andrew Richardson...)

At one time he was considered a better player than Tim Henman but in the transition from Juniors to main tour somehow Tim motored ahead and Jamie's singles career stayed at Challenger level.
