Wot no thread for this match?
The H2H (http://www.atpworldtour.com/Players/Head-To-Head.aspx?pId=MC10&oId=SC77) is 3-0 in Andy's favour, winning in DC in 2006 on clay in straight sets, then twice on hard in 2009 - straight sets in Doha but losing the first set on a tiebreak in Dubai.
http://www.lshunter.tv/tennis-live-streaming-video.html have the match listed at 15.00, presumably CET. I have known them to list a match beforehand and then not show it, but here's hoping.
Thanks Madeline, I was looking for this thread last night & found it unusual that it wasn't there. If the match is at 3pm that's ok for me as I have an appointment at 2pm, either way.........
The Very Best of Luck Andy!!!!

Wot no thread for this match?
Ha! I was out in London all day and not back until last evening; realised it was needed just before I went to bed but was too tired to do it sensibly.
Thanks for setting it up Madeline.
I'm just adding a link to the H2H so peeps can refer if they want to.

I think it's more likely 2pm BST, Lynne. Livescorehunter usually uses the European time, I think.
Yes I spotted it was listed for livescorehunter, but don't want to be too optimistic that it will actually appear! Will be great if it does! I'll be here!
Best of luck, Andy:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::)
I won't be here as per usual as at work and unless it falls during whatever lunch break I manage to grab, I miss it.
More clay court prctice for Andy, that's the most important thing. Although of course we would all love to see him win here!

Another one where he has to be on his toes from the word go. Nearly missed this!
Best not to talk about the financial woes of being no. 4 at changeovers (Milord I refer you to the newspaper thread and Stakhovsky's article on the financial realities of being in the top 100).
livescorehunter are currently showing Verdasco vs Darcis, so I'm cautiously optimistic that Andy's match wil be watchable.
:swingin: good luck Andy!! :swingin:
Have been going to livescorehunter but the tournament name is mentioned as the stream??

Spanish here too. I don't think there will be an English one, but I can live with that!
both taken to deuce in opening service games. 1-1
I do like Stak's single-handed bh - lovely to watch
nice play from andy, smash leap on approach to net, holds to 15, 2-1
Stak saves 2 bp's - the second with a lucky net cord
deuce
but Stak serves a df on the 3rd bp.
*3-1
great - early break for Andy!!
KITKAT, wd have been quicker cept stak got a lucky net cord for a drop winner
and holds serve, stak now at 1-4
Stak playing Andy at his own game today - more dropshots than Andy! In fact I don't think Andy's played any yet!

Phew, that last game was a bit :sofa:
dogged hold, stak now at 2-5, prime time for a kitkat
First set in the bag 6-3 - well done, Andy:cheer::cheer::cheer:

Thank you Stak, one drop-shot attempt too many.
Good lad, Andy. First serve % could be better though.
:swingin: brilliant - first set 6-3 :swingin:
so andy has to serve it out, 6-3, and stak will serve first in set 2. like stak's game, decent drop and lobs, as per early andy, and pushing andy wide

KITKAT! minor implosion by stak, andy now at 2-1
Andy's turn for a nice dropper!

Glad that it was a comfortable win for Andy, well done! Lost the first two points that game, but there was nothing to worry about!
Played as well as he needed to really - could have done with some more first serves (50%), but good solid play, moved well I thought. There will be sterner tests to come, but a good start.
but his serving was good, second serves trying to be aces, athleticism and fitness, speed, tenacity, all the things he trains for saw him through
these two are good example of money talks, didn't they meet in a junior US grand slam final, andy won, and seems there was no coaching to be had at home for stak, but andy could go to spain, and his parents could raise the dosh their worlds diverged from the same starting position
Welld done Andy. :swingin:

Good win for Andy, serve not back to his best but moving more freely today. keep it going ANDY.
By reading all your great comments Andy had a good match so Well Done Andy!!!! So pleased that you were able to find a stream:thumbup:

Surely Andy won the US when he was 18 - after he'd been to Spain. I take your point about the lack of coaching for Stak although a lot of good juniors find it very difficult to transfer to the seniors. Monfils was a fantastic junior but hasn't really had the results that everyone expected on the main circuit.

well done andy!
Let's hope the rest of the tournament doesn't mirror MC as this has so far...
I managed to somehow miss the match! Doh!
Well done Andy! Sounds like he played very solidly! Hope that continues into the other matches too! :cheer:

:yahoo: - I was at work so missed this but so pleased to see such a positive result - well done Andy!
Yay. So glad he's got the first match under his belt. Good luck in the dubs.
I didn't even know Andy was playing yesterday, did not check OOP as did not think he would play before today but was pleasantly surprise when I check tennis news on the Red Button as I do daily. Good luck for the Dubs later, watching Nishi just now. Good luck for the single tomorrow. :wino:
