Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara are through to the Wimbledon Final
after beating Neal Skupski and Michael Venus 6'4, 7'6(1)
Jamie Murray and Taylor Townsend were beaten by Zielinski/Hsieh 7'6, 6'7, 10'5 in their QF Mixed Doubles match.
Er don't you mean Tailor Townsend?
Great news for the 2 Henry/Harri.
Skupski and Venus are facing each other in the mixed doubles later.
Edited to Taylor Townsend and, erm, to Henry and Harri ...
Great win for Henry/Harri though would have preferred Skupski/Venus to take it. pity for Jamie/Taylor but a tight match.
Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara - Wimbledon Champions!!!
:trophy: :trophy:
Absolutely amazing match to watch, so close and it only took 1 or 2 errors to make the difference.
Poor Harri was in bits afterwards, Henry with a gobsmacked smile.
6'7(7), 7'6(8), 7'6(9)
What a win for Harri and Henry!!!
A bit of a nailbiter, but so entertaining and great to see their reactions! :bravo:
I missed the first set, yesterday, as I was out. But, I managed to get back in time to watch the rest of the match which was exciting and could have gone to either of them. I was so delighted about Heliovaara and Patten winning their first Grand Slam title. I heard Harri Heliovaara became the first Finnish man to win and Henry Patten was the third British man to win the men's doubles.
Brilliant win. Great fun to watch :cheer: :cheer:
