Paul Jubb, Ryan Peniston, Hamish Stewart and Oliver Tarvet have won 1st round of qualies.
Jan Choinski, Giles Hussey, James Story all lost.
Oliver Bonding and Alistair Gray still to play this afternoon.
Oliver Bonding is through but Alistair Gray lost.
I went yesterday and saw Paul Jubb and Ryan Peniston win. Jack Draper was watching Paul Jubb but no-one recognised him!

Jack been drawn against the 38th ranked Sebastian Baez, could be Bublik in 3rd and Mensik/Cobolli in last 16. without looking too far ahead is in Djokovic's quarter. Tough for Cameron,Jacob and Billy Harris. pity Dan and Jay drawn together, the winner in all likelihood to face Djokovic. Emma to face fellow Brit Xu also with Mccartney Kessler or Vondrousova next in line. Katie has tough draw against 9th seed Paula Badosa.

There seems to be a lot of brits drawing either seeds or players doing well at the moment.
Shame Jacob Fearnley is playing Fonseca first round. I would have like both players to win a few rounds.
Hubert Hurkacz pulled out injured, after the draw was done, and earned himself ?33,000. Not fair on Dusan Lajovic, who now plays Billy Harris or even Harris himself as one of those two will only get half of the remaining prize money on offer for the first round loser.
Why would Billy Harris only get half if he loses his first round match. He was in the main draw on his ranking and not a qualifier or lucky loser?

Fab win for Sonay - came from behind 2-5 in the first set to take that 7'5, lost the 2nd 2'6, as Ostapenko found some form, and came back strong and steady to notch up the 3rd set 6'2 and the match.
Cam Norrie has taken the 1st set 6'3 against Bautista-Agut.
Could have been 6'2 but the Spaniard held on a bit longer.
Arthur Fery is a break up against Popyrin and has just held for 5'3 in the first set.
Ollie Tarvel is serving for the match against fellow qualifier Riedi, 6'4, 6'4, 6'4, 30-0
