I completely disagree with the "spirit of the game" thing, it was up to England to adjust to the tactics of the Italians, and to be fair once they did, even though it took far longer than it should have, it was one way traffic.

I thought it was quite a clever tactic and quite funny seeing these big burly blokes ask the referee what the rules are!
England are the better team and deserved to win but I'm glad Italy weren't on the end of a thrashing. It made Eddie Jones' predictions look a bit foolish, which I don't mind seeing as he has an ego the size of Australia! ;)
The change in rules has us confused also. There have been a few changes over the years.
I think the italians just exploited existing rules to the utmost. They were doing nothing wrong - but obviously it was not rugby as we know it. But up to the English team to work out the answer which they did very effectively. Took them a long time of just being confused though.:confused: ;)
I think the laughable part was that even with 15 professional players on the pitch, England had to wait until their half time team talk to find out what the rules were.
Any team would have been taken by surprise but I'd like to think most could have reacted quicker.
I really didn't mind who won tonight but well played Wales!
Definitely the right winner. Ireland very lacklustre again
Oh dear, Scotland! :crying: Well played, England.
Good win by England, the first fixture in the Six Nations where they played as they should
Although we helped by making too many mistakes, i think that is probably the best I've seen England play under Eddie Jones. Up until now a lot of their results have flattered them but today they all showed up.
