Deepest snow here in the Midlands that I have known for years! Our village is on a hill and even worse than just 2 miles down the road. On Sunday when I had nowhere I needed to be it was fine and the dogs loved their walks in the snow.
I managed to get in to work on Monday and yesterday by walking the 2.5 miles to the train station in the pitch dark across fields of knee deep snow ... the lengths we go to for the NHS! Luckily the trains were running and virtually on time too.
Today I got my car out of the village for the first time and now, it has just started raining so hopefully all the icy pavements will thaw
For the very first time ever I had to quit my round of golf today because of the heat. It is SERIOUS! Car registered 31 on way home. And this was by the sea with a little, not much, breeze. Never struggled like that in the heat before! Recovered now and waiting for Andy's match!
Hopefully ok just now Pat, admit I don't like it too hot but don't like cold weather either.
This is HOT today James! Not usual for here at all. All good now though!
Very hot. Feels like being abroad. How on earth do they play tennis in such heat - or worse. Long may it last though.
Supposed to be 88 in Glasgow area tomorrow (which is bit much for me) as long as not too much rain when it breaks though.
Very very hot .... am even wearing a dress - unheard of for me but was too hot yesterday! I much prefer to be lying by a pool in these temperatures though .... working is not good!
Very wild here today. Taken this morning at Portstewart harbour.
