Re: Rate the last film you saw
Watched Second Hand Lions last night and loved it. It was a delightful, funny film starring Michael Caine, Robert Duvall and Haley Joel Osment. Don't know how I've missed this film as it was made in 2003. For those who haven't seen it it is the story of a lonely, quiet young boy whose feckless mother dumps him on her two old uncles for the summer. I was amused and moved equally. Love the three main actors!! 8/10
Re: Rate the last film you saw
Thanks for that SG - I remember seeing trailers for this at the time and thinking I'd like to see it but forgot all about it. Will make a point of seeking it out.
Re: Rate the last film you saw
Suicide Squad wasn't great, but nowhere near as bad as most reviews have suggested!
Re: Rate the last film you saw
Lol hawkeye mine is the same suicide squad... Though my review may be more Harsh than yours. 4/10 not enough character development plot development or script. Too much has been cut to shorten the movie so it lets down the DC universe and makes it unlikely to attract more fans. Harley Quinn? Too far from the comic character and her relationship with the joker appears as a love story in the film not the twisted ownership one of the comics where he is a sociopath and she is his puppet. Too light, to jokey, too far from the comic. Works as a stand alone I guess, if you had never seen the comics, other films or didn't know the characters. I really didn't enjoy it, it was the worst film I've seen since the new Jurassic park which was a massive let down.
Re: Rate the last film you saw
I saw that film, didn't like it.y I haven't read the comic as I am an adult ..
Allot of noise and a little script, mainly an exhibition of visual tech
Re: Rate the last film you saw
Haha Kev D that was a dig at me... Very funny :) :) sorry I made you go to see it.
Re: Rate the last film you saw
David Brent: Life on the Road. Hiliar :laugh::laugh:
Re: Rate the last film you saw
I don't think a film has ever appealed to me less. I am however very excited about going to see Rogue One on Saturday. Shame I have to take my kids!
Re: Rate the last film you saw
I'm afraid David Brent and indeed Ricky Gervais give me the creeps, as does David Walliams. Can't explain why, they just do.
Re: Rate the last film you saw
Not at the cinema ..... but the last film I saw was The Reverence with Leo DiCaprio. It won oscars I believe. Brilliant film, really enjoyed it.
