A tussle between Anisimova and Sabalenka , Amanda was the stronger though as she took it 6-4,4-6,6-4(though failed to serve it out at 5-3), In contrast Iga Swiatek eased past Bencic for the loss of 2 games.
Cash/Glasspool got the better of Granollers/Zeballos 6-3,6-4 in just over an hour, well done! Joe Salisbury/Luisa Stefani lost out on the Mixed Doubles final to Verbeek/Siniakova in two Breakers.
Well done to Cash and Glasspool. I had hoped Salisbury and Stefani would win it.
Men's Final will be Alcaraz v. Sinner.
Men's semi went much as expected. Fritz done better than i thought though and put Alcaraz under some pressure with some big strike tennis though a lapse cost the spaniard the second. Carlos overall strong on returns and even though Taylor was a point away from a 5th set Alcaraz stepped up in the key moments.
Sinner was just too strong for Djokovic as he swept him in straights, Novak may not have been 100% fit but think the contrast in movement would likely have been apparent anyway. There was a glimmer when Jannik faltered early in the 3rd and Djokovic had a bp for 4-0 but the tables turned again after a sloppy game, Sinner winning 6 out of the last 7 games.
Anyway should be entertaining final though remains to be seen if the quality will match the French.

Double bagel in the Ladies Final...
A proper rabbit in the headlights moment for Anisimova.
Great performance from Julian and Lloyd-well done! :swingin::swingin:, certainly an achievement. Whilst up against a bit of a scratch pairing they had put out the top seeds Arevalo/Pavic.
I thought Swiatek would win in straights but not in that manner, Anisimova was so tight and it looked bleak when she failed to get on the board at the start of the 2nd- disappointing. Still Iga returned very well and took full advantage to add Wimbledon to her list of slams and looked comfortable on grass. Would have been a lot tougher had it been against Sabalenka obviously.
Congratulations to Cash and Glasspool on winning yesterday's final. They also became the first all British men's doubles champions since Pat Hughes and Raymond Tuckey won in five sets against the other British pairing of Charles Hare and Frank Wilde in 1936.
