Re: What are you watching on TV? 2
Finished the 'Race across the World' last night. While i've no doubt that a lot goes on unseen in helping the contestants get from A to B, it certainly makes for enjoyable TV viewing. And the result of this one went down to the wire. Won't say more in case anyone is still watching.

An excellent series of Race Across the World, thoroughly enjoyed it
Re: What are you watching on TV? 2
I recently watched Manhunt, which is based on the true story of what happened to John Wilkes Booth after he assassinated Abraham Lincoln on Apple TV. I thought it was quite good. I've also recently watched Franklin on the same channel. Michael Douglas plays Benjamin Franklin, when he stayed in France during the American war of independence. It was very good. Also, I've just finished watching Under the Banner of Heaven on ITV's website. It stars Andrew Garfield as Detective Jeb Pyre. It is a bit strange, if you don't understand the Mormon culture and part of it is about Bringham Young and Joseph Smith. I had to look up about what happened to the brothers in the end, though Andrew Garfield was very good in it.

Watched the 'weekend with Alan Titchmarsh' on Sunday. Andrew Castle was on, talking about why he's disappeared recently. Basically he said that constantly having to present a current affairs news programme, which he said is focused towards only negative news, has taken a toll and he needed a break. It's giving him chance to refocus and he won't rule out a return to mediaa work in future.
He didn't mention about Tennis work.
given the recent comments about Mr Castle's tennis credentials by a certain ex-aussie player, I guess he'd have preferred to do less Tennis work !!

I've been watching the reboot of Quantum Leap on Channel 5. I know it was, recently, cancelled and there won't be a third series and I could see straightaway during the first episode as to why it wouldn't be coming back.
Re: What are you watching on TV? 2
I had the Eurovision (semi final) on in the background, last night. As they kept mentioning Roger Federer, I half expected him to make an appearance of some kind.
Re: What are you watching on TV? 2
ITV and Disney struck a deal, today, to show each other's programmes. ITV will show the first seasons of programmes like Andor (a spin off from Star Wars), Only Murders in the Building and The Bear. Disney will show programmes like Mr Bates vs The Post Office and A Spy Among Friends. There'll probably be other programmes which they will show from the previous channel.
Re: What are you watching on TV? 2
As it was ITV's 70th birthday, yesterday, they've put some of their old programmes onto their website ITVX. If anyone remembers Janice Long being on 3 2 1, it's the only episode that is there of the series.
Re: What are you watching on TV? 2
as I have a few months subscription to Netflix to use, I've caught up the remaining episodes of Virgin River, and now started watching from the beginning. I find it infuriating and enjoyable at the same time. Infuriating as some of the acting is a bit wooden and the story lines stretch credibility sometimes (they all live in such wonderful houses, nobody cooks as they all eat at the only bar), but the main story (the on/off/on relationship between the two main characters) is well told and well played. And each episode is only 45 mins so you don't have time to get bored !

I saw Andy with his dog Bonnie in a Purina advert last night. Jasmine Paolini with her dog Cesare, Cagla Buyukakcay with her cat Izo and Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina with their dog Wizz were also in it.
