Was Andy crying at the end? I thought he was
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
Yes he was. After the euphoria of the win, the emotions set in.

Yes he was crying, bless him. They're supposed to play their next match tomorrow but their opponents still have to play.
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
Just checking we are all still alive after that! Andy well and truly giving us one last ride on the Murraycoaster. So special.
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
Andy/Dan not on the OOP tomorrow.
Haase/Rojer v Fritz/Paul is though and the winners will face the Brits - probably on Thursday.
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
Was out tonight but just watched the match! Wow! They fully deserved that win. Andy crying at the end had me tearing up. The emotions he must be feeling! I'm so not ready to get off this murraycoaster
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
Superb!! What a retirement roller-coaster he is giving us! Don't think I could love him more. Thank you Dan for making it possible. x
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
I watched it on the BBC's iPlayer and thought it was going a bit too easy for Andy and Dan. The wi-fi then played up, at the beginning of the third and final set, much to my annoyance. But, luckily, it settled down and started working again just before the set started. I hoped they would come back from the two match points down, fantastic. I then listened to radio Five Live as they replayed their commentary on the men's 4x200m freestyle swimming final and the end of Andy and Dan's match.
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
The only thing I know about Haase and Rojer is they are both old timers! Are they established doubles players? I know Fritz and Paul as pretty good singles players but have they played much doubles and together? So want Andy and Dan to progress to a medal of any colour! x
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
Rojer is a quality doubles player, currently ranked 27 but has been as high as 3. Haase never quite fulfilled his potential, brilliant shot maker but didn't get the results his talent merited. Haase ranked 57 in doubles, 1199 in singles but only played one tour level match in singles this year.
Re: Evans/Murray (GBR) v Gille/Vliegen (Belgium) - 4th Suzanne Lenglen toady
Thank you Suttontennis. The question is which would Andy and Dan cope better with - the experienced duo or the young US bucks? They will have to face whoever wins later. x
