Well I am SO HAPPY Shape of Water won Best Picture!!! I was positive 3 Billboards would win. Excellent stuff! The rest were kinda predictable. Good for Jordan Peele and James Ivory tho'. I was rooting for Greta Gertwig, have to be honest.

I'm going to see a double bill on Friday: LadyBird followed by 3 Billboards. I only wish I could have seen them BEFORE last night but better later than never.
I saw I, Tonya with my sister. I thought it was okay and I could understand why Allison Janney had won the best supporting actress BAFTA and Oscar.
Ladybird was pretty good I thought. Made me squirm a few times but all in all good.
The City Without Jews, an Austrian film which was filmed in 1924, will be going on release in London and Bristol later this year. Why only London and Bristol?
The films I have seen recently are Churchill, (not The Darkest Hour), which had me spitting blood, it was so awful in its portrayal of Churchill. A Dog’s Purpose, which was very American and so grated a bit, but well worth seeing - the Corgi in it had a personality just like my Millie, ie Food, food, food and an attitude of “you threw the ball, you fetch it”. Finally Peter Rabbit - the animations are superb, but made me flinch a bit. Peter is very like some children I have taught.....!!! Then Paddington 2, which I enjoyed. I thought it was better than the original, which I thought was very good.
I went with my sister, on Wednesday, to see Isle of Dogs. We laughed, in places, and we both thought it was quite good.
Finally got round to watching justice league. After finally seeing Batman superman, which is one of the worst films I seen in along time, I really wasn’t expecting much. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. Better than BM SM by quite some way and a fairly entertaining way to spend 90 minutes or so. Don’t think I’d watch it again though. I have tickets to see the new avengers film with KevD and Yellowlivi at the end of the month, really looking forward to it :)
Watched Borg v McEnroe on Amazon Prime. Quite enjoyed it, especially the actor playing Borg who was so like him. Wasn't keen on Shia LaBouef as MaEnroe but then again I'm not keen on Shia LaBouef in anything
The Old Dark House, which was made in 1932, has been released. But, why is it only being shown in Cardiff?
